Overall
Food

This is the best fish and chips anywhere. It use to be a secret but “word of mouth” has made it very popular. We have had to leave because the “wait time” is so long-even before you order. I would recommend you try it anyway if you have never been here. Mid week after 2:00

Overall
Good for if you can stomach bad attitude

They tell you there is a charge for plastic payment as they are sliding your card. They tell you you can have cocktail sauce instead of tartar sauce after you receive your food...for $0.50 extra. The food is GOOD VERY GOOD, but the loudmouth lady in charge is rude.

Overall
There was plastic in my clam chowder.. Enough said..

Completely UNIMPRESSED by everything. The halibut was fine but nothing special. We called in a to-go order and the gentlemen that answered didn't sound like he wanted us to order, made sure he told me twice that the order would take at least an hour. Once you get there, they have multiple signs that say "TO GO ORDERS ARE TO GO, DO NOT BRING YOUR TRASH BACK." Luckily we checked our order once we got to the car, we were missing a cup of clam chowder, there were no spoons, no ketchup, or the ranch that I was told on the phone came with the chicken that we ordered. The clam chowder had freeze dried potatoes in it and was more like a gravy with not much in it.. Very thick and bland. But my two dollar and fifty cent tiny cup of clam chowder did come with a large piece of plastic inside of it!! I'm assuming it was off of the bag that the crappy clam chowder was squeezed from before it was reheated. I will NEVER eat here again. I recommend Mo's in south Lincoln City. The halibut is always good and their clam chowder isn't great but it's a million times better than Jays!! The service is always good at Mo's and I guarantee you won't find plastic in their clam chowder.

Overall

Great food if you don't mind eating in a bit of a dive--the place needs a good cleaning around the edges. But the tabletops are clean, so give it a shot.
