Charity started her legal career at a firm in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her work centered mainly on insurance defense litigation with an emphasis on medical malpractice cases. Charity left private practice in 2013 to pursue an in-house legal opportunity for Allen County Government. During her tenure at Allen County, Charity served as in-house counsel, while simultaneously serving as the risk manager, ADA and Title VI Coordinator, EEO Officer, and HR Director. Charity developed a passion for working on unique legal matters involving local governmental units and handling complex employment matters. She helped both employees and leaders navigate through complex Federal and State employment laws. She routinely drafted employment policies and assisted leaders in setting employment processes and procedures.

Cheryl L. Weimer attended Valparaiso School of Law on an academic scholarship, and graduated cum laude in May, 2002. Ms. Weimer received first year academic honors, and was the honor recipient for estate planning, corporate and partnership tax, and other classes.
