In Question

I must say, I'm not thoroughly impressed w/my Best Buy experience. Found a heck of a deal on a fridge, and the service from the associate and the fact it wasn't truly what I wanted made me change my mind. The associate seemed to want to argue the discount and make sure I knew the previous associate was wrong, and to be honest he seemed quite snobby. People don't seem eager to assist you when you're there, at least not in my experiences. The one positive I can give is that I bought my Apple TV there for a good price and some people there seem informative about products. Not my favorite place to go, not when Home Depot will match any price they have for the same product!

I felt like an imposition

At 8:20 on Dec. 21 st I arrived at Best Buy at Town and Country Square. I had tried to call and check stock on a Kindle but was on hold for about 10 minutes. I live in South Knoxville so I was hoping to avoid the trip if I could just check the stock.Keep in mind that I am not that acquainted with all of the new products only that it was a reader that my Sister wanted for Christmas. I decided to go ahead and just make the trip anyway. When I arrived there were very few people in the store but there were a lot of employees scanning stock and straightening shelves. Normally when I go to this store there are people everywhere just jumping at the chance to help you. I walked up to one female employee in what I thought might be the correct area and asked if there were any in stock. She replied "I don't know but if we have any they will be over there" and she pointed in a general direction. After looking for another minute I stopped a male employee with the same question and his reply was "I don't know" He spoke into his headset and asked "do we have any more Kindles" then he said "she said everything we have is out and it would be over there"

I finally found the Amazon shelf and saw that there were'nt any left except the bigger models. I then decided to go to customer service where a girl was standing behind the counter with no one in line. She finally acknowledged my presence and I asked her if she could call Turkey Creek and see if they had any left. Her response was "they don't" with which she followed with I had to call for someone else earlier" I have always used Best Buy at this location but I assure you I will go to another location or another store altogether for any future purchases. I am sorry I was such an imposition to your employees at this location!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for listening, Robin Myers

Overall
big box insensitive to customers

The only reason to give Best Buy a Fair rather than Poor rating is its selection and occasionally price for electronics and entertainment. I have found them extremely unhelpful when it comes to customer service, even when I have purchased expensive extended warranties. It took them about six weeks to get my laptop back to me -- completely intolerable.

Help and Service by Phone

I wanted the IPod Touch but it was selling faster than they could keep it. Sales associates encouraged me to call on specified day to see availability. I did; they had it and they even agreed to hold one until I could get to the store
