Earth-Tones Landscaping

We first hired Earth-Tones to landscape our front yard in January of 2006. We hired them because of their creative solutions to problems we had thought were insoluble [unsafe concrete steps, a dark narrow front entry, for example], their willingness to work with us and for us to design a yard that was practical [using less water] and beautiful. The Browns certainly exceeded our expectations, and did the job exactly on the timeline they had promised. Our entire neighborhood agreed that our front yard had [and still has] the most curb appeal of the area.



In May of 2008, we called on them to fix a problem in our backyard. A dead grape arbor had to be removed, and something attractive put in its place. Once again, Earth-Tones came through for us successfully, on budget, on time, and with vision. So, this last December, 2009, we called on them to somehow merge our front yard seamlessly into our backyard, and design something special. We are so thrilled with what Earth-Tones accomplished. Even our indoors has improved by the views they made for us. For example, a small side yard by a shuttered window into our family room has become a treasured nook with a small pondless waterfall. The family room has been reconfigured to take advantage of what is now a “picture” window. The plantings throughout the backyard, like the front yard, are designed to fill in gradually, making a lush, yet easily manageable, landscape.



We found Earth-Tones when we saw a wonderful front yard, knocked on the door, and asked who landscaped it. From that first referral, we have employed Fred and Louise Brown of Earth-Tones Landscaping over the last three years, and would not hesitate to highly recommend them to anyone. We are not plant experts, so have relied on them to landscape our home in such a way that, with minimal care, the property will continue to look good years after the initial work. They have stood by their work, even to coming back months after the work is completed, to check on their plantings and replace anything that was not thriving. Their sprinkler system design has been very effective and, with their help, we have been able to master it. In short, Earth-Tones Landscaping is reliable, creative, and efficient. The value of our property has greatly increased, and we are very fortunate to have discovered them.

I have used Earth Tones Lanscape several times over the last 10 years. I have always been very happy with the relults. They sat me down and right in front of me they draw out a preliminary drawing of what it was I told them that I wanted. To say that I got what I wanted is an understatement, I have always gotten more than I asked for.
