Dr. Neil Thomas Shmunes, MD

Dr. Shmunes and the entire team at Atlantic Eye Institute, Jacksonville, FL are a highly competent caring and compassionate group of doctors. I had a serious eye infection resulting in a cornea transplant. Dr. Shmunes (who hadn't ever treated me at the time stepped in and managed my entire case with multiple doctors. He has done an outstanding job and as a result, I trust him implicitly. His competency, diligence and attention to detail are second to none. At at the same time, his warm, friendly style and focus on customer service is the best I've seen in health care. Also, the entire staff at Atlantic Eye Institute are courteous and well trained in patient service. If you need eye care in the Jacksonville, FL area, I highly recommend Dr. Shmunes and the other doctors (Drs. Duss, Simmons and Lancaster) at Atlantic Eye Institute as I've now seen them all.
