Brian,
I would like to thank you and your group for a great job. I am new not only to FLorida but to the East side of Jacksonville.
I brought my bike in for a tuneup and to fix some broken spokes. This was the 2nd time I had been to you shop but the last time it was just a simple fix.
I dropped off my bike for the repair and tune up expecting just a routine turnaround. To my surprise it was more complicated. About a year and 1/2 ago I had a bad bicycle accident that kept me from ridding for over 6 months. After the accident I took the bike into another companies shop to replace the front wheel and to have the bike gone over.
After the repair I thought everything was fine since I have over 6 months of not riding. about 6 months after that I toom the bike into another shop (closer to my house) for a tune up. The tune up was completed that I continued my riding.
When I broke a spoke I decided to take my bike into Champion for the repair and tune up. When I went to pick it up Brian pointed out to me that the fork was bent ( safety problem) and needed to be replaced. I had never noticed because of the time lapse between my accident and when I started to ride again. The fork was so damaged that it was bent in the down position and did not extend again. It amazed me that I had taken it to 2 other shops and no one even noticed.
Not only did Brian and his team find the problem they fixed it. I have over 25,000 miles on this bike and get it tuned annually. The tuneup was perfect. No slippage and all gears worked perfectly.
These guys are top notch. It is the only place I will take my bike from now on. I forgot to mention that they called so that I knew what was going on and when I expect the work to be completed.
A great group to work with.
Thanks again.
Jim

Provided by SuperpagesI recently purchased a bicycle from Champions which I paid over $4000. It seems that as soon as I agreed to purchase said bicycle, the shop forgot about customer service. The bike took three weeks to arrive. When it did finally arrive, the shop "lost" my pedals and aero bars I had left at the shop with no explanation as to what happened to the parts and forced me to purchase new pedals ($156) before alllowing me to leave. The shop was also not able to "fit" me to the bike and expected me to return for a proper fitting. I live over 45 minutes away from the shop.I also did not appreciate being chided several times by one of the employees, "Chuck". The biggest insult however, was the open containers in the shop while customers were still in the shop. It's expected in a bar, but not a bike shop. While the owner was away, all professionalism went out the door with him. A friend was able to recover my "lost" parts. I ended up finding another shop near my house which I paid to fit me to my bike. I will not be returning to the shop and won't be giving them any more of ny money or business.

Our experience at Champion was not as we had hoped. I took my bike in for a tune up and it took over a week to get it back. When I got it back, it did not shift well. So I took it back, for them to fix, and they (after several days) determined I needed a part which had to be ordered. It was almost 3 weeks before I got my bike back. Got it back out on the trail, it still did not shift well. I decided not to take it back. So I took to a different bike shop, they found that the brake pads in the front were completely shot. I think that Champion should have noticed that during the two times I had in there for a tune up!. I will say, that the Champion folks are very nice, however, my experience was not the best as evidence that my bike is still in the shop for a tune up.

Provided by SuperpagesChampion was recommended to me by someone I met on a bike event. The Staff was very knowledgeable & helpful! They answered questions with a smile and we had plenty of questions we were throwing at them! After the many questions they let us test ride a few bikes. I didn't purchase my new bike yet, but I will make my purchase with Champion.

Provided by SuperpagesFANTASTIC STORE! I've been a customer since 1995 and have purchased mountain, road, and cruisers from Champion. Brian and the staff are super friendly and genuinely interested in providing the right bike at a very competitive price. The turnaround on any maintenance is super quick and the work is always done right. Frankly, it's a great store simply to hang out in and get a feel for what's going on in the local scene.
