Community Rehabilitation Hospital North

I wish I had known about this facility and the in-patient occupational and physical therapy programs offered. I was amazed at the bath and kitchen mock-ups available for occupational therapy. I learned and practiced several things that I can put into practice immediately upon my return home. I feel a lot safer and have more confidence in my ability to move and function more normally in my home. The physical therapy is amazing. I really needed the multiple sessions I received each day while there. I had severe contraction of the knee on my amputated knee. The therapists were able to get it straightened significantly and to improve my gait while using my new prosthetic leg. I was shown several different exercises to perform to help maintain proper alignment of the knee and to release the hamstring and hip flexor on my amputated leg. I was given diagrams of all the exercises to take home and number of repetitions to complete each day. I was also give a list of things I needed to purchase for use at home, a rollator, a bathtub bench, a handheld shower spray, a grabber for things I can't reach on the floor or on high cabinet shelves. All of these items helped me hit the floor running and to put everything I learned to immediate use. And one last thing, the food was great too. There is NO doubt in my mind that I would recommend Community Rehabilitation Hospital North's in-patient therapy programs.

My stay here was a great experience, giving my circumstances at the time. Cat is one of the best nurses I have ever had, and I've had some long stays in many hospitals throughout my life. Also everyone of their staff members were amazing as well! So caring, you can tell they all have a huge passion for what they do! It was awesome to see an environment like that! You leave feeling like family. Norren and Tamara we're great as well. Super professional! And Doctor Aitken was one of the most caring doctors I've ever had as well. You cannot find a Doctor that has bertter bedside manner than he has. Thank you to everyone. Highly recommend this hospital for your recovery!!!

My dad was cared for here after a stroke. We can't remember the names of every great person who helped my dad, but here are some we can: Great techs were Yolanda, Amber, Robert, and Candace. Nurse Roger was particularly great with my dad in how he spoke with him, and my mom said the night nurses were really nice too. Therapists Katelyn, Judy, Brittainy and McKayla were wonderful. Warren from the cafeteria was very pleasant to my mom and brightened her day, and the people working there were always helpful. Connie and Tina at reception were also very helpful and gave a nice greeting every single time we came. Jeanie was instrumental in getting my dad a much needed appointment, and was helpful in other ways too. Finally, caseworkers Chris and Julie were helpful multiple times, probably at times not always convenient for them-we are very grateful, and wish them and the entire staff the best. We are sorry for the names we couldn't remember, just know we will always remember the kind faces and actions at a very stressful time for my dad and all those who love him.
