        Never Again! We boarded our little Maltese here for 4 days and wished we hadn't. The place is not at all what we expected and nothing like the website pictures and description. The kennels were dark/dingy, and it was cold and un-inviting. The outside wasn't much better. The little plastic pools for the dogs to splash around in were empty, most dented, bent or turned upside down on the dirt. Huge rocks were the only thing to walk on to get to the play area. Hard for a person to walk on, let alone a small dog. Further more..........when we picked our little guy up, they brought his crate out (we had left it with him for comfort) the rug and his favorite blankie inside was dripping wet. They said it must have happened when they sprayed the floor off, BUT WHEN??? Had it been like that for days??? Who knows?.......... This place is not acceptable and I would Not recommend to anyone!

        Overall

        I've used Ameripet since the late 90's and they have always taken wonderful care of my pets. Nothing brings a smile to my face more than the staff knowing my pets by name hwen we walk in the door and my dogs are always excited to get there. Since my dogs love to play and have fun, I request a bath before I pick them up, they smell fresh and clean their coats look shiny.

        Decade of experience using Ameripet

        I have been using Ameripet since 1995 and I can honestly say there is no better place in S.E Idaho to take your pets!Over the last 16 years we have had several dogs (poodle, mutt, flat coat retriever, and now a Maltese and yorkie) and I have never had one of them not be excited to come to Ameripet! Our large dogs enjoyed being kenneled there and they never came home sick or in distressed such as a previous review exclaimed. Our small dogs LOVED going for both kenneling and daycare and I can say the staff is VERY caring since one of them took a vicious bite from a pitbull because my poodle decided to climb a 6 foot chain link kennel (it wasn't the first time for her to do this) and was out of her kennel wandering around as they brought the pit bull in on a lead. Sandy came running at the pitbull and a worker stepped between them.Nina and Tuffy WANT to go to everyday and will follow my husband around and scratch at him to try to go with him. Doris, Denice & Damien are AWESOME!

        I'm pleased

        I have boarded one of my dogs there, and it was fine. She did very well and was treated like a queen. I have all my dogs groomed there and they come back much better than PetSmart and for less money. I have had good experiences with them.

        Said I would never go back!

        I told them I would not be back after arriving to pick up our dogs and finding them urine soaked. I left them for 1 week last year. After that my husband and I were afraid to travel because we did not want to leave them in a kennel again and jsut spent pet fees on hotels.

        This last time we could not take them with us because we could not find a pet friendly hotel in the area we were going. We heard a commercial for Wiggle Butts who says they are cageless. We checked them out and they were clean and caring. We decided to use them and were so so happy. Our dogs were in great condition and not sad looking when we arrived.

        I have left a review for them and they are located here on the yellow pages. We will use ameripet again, ever , ever ,ever! Even my coworkers had similar negative experiences.

        The title says it all. I think if I left my pup there any longer he may have died. He was not a happy dog when I picked him up.
