Caring. Professional. Honest. Reasonable Rates. Dr Nido is top notch expert & compassionate practicioner! Discusses issues, options, possible treatments in a non fearful nor pressured way. Welcome's pet owner to ask questions and dialogue about my pet's history and needs. Does not sell services or sales pitch unnecessary procedures. Respectful to the pet and its parent. I have a dog that I did not know required immediate surgery but knew had possibly swallowed items tgat could obstruct his bowels . Dr Nido had treated my rescued dog since he was a puppy but i had moved further away after 7 years and decided to try vets closer to my new residence. 1st vet was the culprit that created an infection through non-sterile procedures and then charged me $100 to tell me my dog had nail infections which was why i had brought him in the first place after they had begun trimming his nails.
Another $95 to wrap his paw in gauze and a strechy bandage where upon my dog swallowed it inch by inch at night. They reassured me he didnt need an Elizabethean Collar/Cone and that the bandage wouls stay in place. I suspected a blocked digestive track 2nd vet wanted to run "more test" to see if there was a blockage since he coudnt tell from a singular xray or exam. 3rd vet was unable to clearly diagnose issue and wanted to send a new xray out for more fees for an "expert analysis.". Dr Nido upon physical examination knew my dog required immediate surgery and showed me on the previous xray where the blockage was and could feel tge blickage during a physical exam. My dog wouldve been dead by the next day if it wasnt for Dr Nido. She's Aman amazing Veterinarian!!!

DO NOT EVER BOARD YOUR PET HERE!!!!! Dog got loose!! While I was getting into my car this past month in the Seabridge Neighborhood behind The Pet Vet, two employee from there approached me and asked me to be on the lookout for a small black and brown terrier chihuahua mix (about 15 pounds). An employee had let the dog out, it had been sighted in my neighborhood for the past couple of hours, but no one could catch it. To make matters worse, a coyote had been sighted numerous times in Seabridge that day. I texted about ten neighbors and for the next couple of hours people were searching by car, bike and foot. The word spread and even more people came out to search. We all have our own fur babies and could not imagine what it would be be like to come home from vacation to find out they lost our dog. Its was sighted many times during our search, but no one could catch it. Luckily, right before we were about to call it quits, 5 of us happened to be in the right place at the right time, and we caught the very scared dog. My husband even got bit, but not that bad. We were able to give the dog back to the employees who were driving around the neighborhood looking for the dog, but in retrospect we wish we had kept the dog and tried to find the owner. I guarantee that they will not tell the owner what happened, and they will never know how a community of dog lovers came together to save their dog!! Then, come to find out, the dog originally ran down to Garfield and Beach, turned back around and ducked into our neighborhood. One person even saw it run across Beach Blvd. I've also heard through the Community Huntington Beach Facebook page and the Nextdoor App, that is not the first time a dog has gotten out. I can't believe how irresponsible this vet is!!

I love this place. The vets are great. The cost of services allow me and my husband to rescue many dogs listed on the shelters euthanized list. Yes he wait is long sometimes. But it's all worth it.
