Weslayan One Hour Cleaners

I noticed the ratings for this place are years (over a decade out of date). Thought I'd chime in and point a few things out. Yellow Pages has incorrectly named this place a "One Hour Cleaners". It's just Weslayan Cleaners, has been for years. Though they alterations too.

I've been dropping off all my clothes here for years, and have overall been satisfied. There's the added bonus of being recognized by the employees as a regular by name. I also like their pricing. Be sure to ask what these are if you're new/unsure, as these things change and this place has been here for decades. Don't expect a menu, this isn't a restaurant. Though they'll write it down for you if you ask.

Cleaning:
Anyways, my shirts and pants are always clean and pressed. They do a great job on suits too. When I've had stains I needed to get out, I always point it out first to make sure I know what I'm getting into and let them know to try their best. Don't expect miracles though. If it's been sitting there for a while or didn't budge when you washed it out at home, then its probably not going anywhere - so manage your expectations. If you have a preference as to how to wash things that are not standard to the material, then you have to let them know and why. (Obviously they don't want to take liability for straying from industry standards).

Alterations:
Most recently I had several of my pants altered. One was to widen the waist, and the work was done really well (I was very impressed by this because I honestly couldn't see a difference, but they obviously had to add material somewhere somehow to make it work). Another replaced a malfunctioning zipper. One was a simple replacement of missing hook (not sure how that fell out, but I had a new one stitched in perfectly. I've had pants hemmed and shirts taken in over the years too. Good results but don't expect this to be a custom tailor making you a new suit. Though I've honestly been impressed with the quality for the things I've given them.
