Taste of Texas Restaurant

Taste of Texas is by far one of the greatest restaurants in the state of Texas. Everything there just melts in your mouth. They have a great salad bar, delicious fresh baked bread, and many options for wine and some beer (from what I remember). If you come here I recommend the steaks as this is what they are known for. They have the freshest meats and you can even choose your cut if so desired. When I dined there, I ordered the New York Strip Sirloin (Medium Rare) and it was to die for. They cooked it to perfection (with just the right amount of pink) and it was so tender and juicy it would literally melt in your mouth it was so good. The atmosphere was a romantic setting with kind of dimmed lights. The servers are all very kind and helpful and make sure you have a great experience at the restaurant. Although this place is a little pricey, it is a great date night place as well as a place to eat with your family. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is because the wait can be really bad. They do not have call ahead seating nor reservations so sometimes you will be waiting about two hours plus just to sit at a table. To give a hint on how popular it is, we got there 30 mins after it opened and we waited an hour and a half to get a table for 4 people.

Overall I highly recommend going, you will not regret it after having there delicious steak.

Great place to eat. Get their early or u may have to wait a longe time. they also have a good cooking claas.

long wait BUT amazing service. we waited close to 3 hours on a Saturday night but we sat down and had the ToT experience it was lovely. it's a warm feeling place. Not to mention the waiting area has a bar and snacks which comes in handy with the kids. who can also color on a kids menu while you wait. it's is a little on the pricey side but hey it's well worth it. i love this place and i will be going back.

I go to Taste of Texas every year for my annual Christmas dinner. The food & waitstaff are outstanding. No other restraunt in town will give you the Christmas feeling. Don't forget to get the complimentary cinnamon coffee at the end of your dinner along with a delicious dessert.
