Sinusitis
Well, I've had the pain and symptoms for about 23 years, and in many ways there have been several days and weeks I haven't been able to perform regular mom duties and the things that I enjoy doing. Missing activities, missing church, just because of the fatigue and flu like symptoms and fever and all those things that are associated with sinus issues. At first, it was it just got to be -- it just made me feel so weary because I was having to take antibiotics all the time, and you have difficulty getting over these sinus infections once they hit and you develop chronic sinusitis, which is what I have dealt with, and the way that it has affected me emotionally is that it's just a little bit depressing because you're always sick and you're always tired and you can`t do the things you like to do but yet it's not a major issue that anybody can see on you so you feel like you're overreacting half the time. This is a cold I should be getting over this. So, several of the medications that you take cause you have to side effects that also affect you.

Pediatric Care
Dr. Ramya Patel was born in Houston and is proud to be a native Texan. She attended Episcopal High School where she graduated as valedictorian. She attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and earned a B.A. in Chemistry with Honors. Dr. Patel returned to Houston to teach Chemistry at Episcopal High School. She then attended Baylor College of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree with Honors and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Patel remained at Baylor College of Medicine for her residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Patel enjoys practicing the breadth of General ENT, including both adult and pediatric care. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.

A large case-control study used electronic records to identify and quantify the symptoms associated with larynx cancer to help primary care physicians refer the right patients for further tests.
Ear Infections
Otitis media is an inflammatory condition of the middle ear space, the part of the ear between the eardrum at the end of the ear canal and the inner ear structures. It may be associated with a middle ear infection which can cause pain, inflammation, fever and hearing difficulty. This condition can occur at any age; however, it is very common in children around the time they enter day care or school.
Emergency Care
My only negative experience is that I called Monday mid morning and left a detailed message for the nurse on the answering machine but no one ever returned my call, so I called back and just made an appointment. I wasn't sure I needed to come in since I had been to an Urgent Care over the weekend and wanted to report the treatment and inquire about whether Dr. Ahuja wanted to see me. I was able to get an appointment so it all worked out in the end. THANKS!
