My mom was admitted to this facility after her back surgery, we thought within a couple weeks of being at Bridgecrest she would have gained her strength back enough to finish recovering from home. Day 2 and we were getting her out of that place. They barely came to check on her except to bring their horrible food and to dope her up on meds and laxatives. I had to ball my eyes out on day 1 to get anyone to help me get her clean after they gave her to many laxatives. Finally after a staff member saw me crying she assisted. My mom also says she fell out of the bed the first night and laid there till staff change at 7am. They claim this did not happen, its my moms word against theirs. My mom called me from the floor saying no one was helping her. I called immediately and got no answer only to find out their phones were not working. Patients push the call button only to wait for assistance, not get it promptly. I feel sorry for those who cant speak for themselves & live there.

Look around this place, all the departments need to be call together and need to be shown how to clean, wash, and read notes on doors. Also need to learn how to read the residents names on there clothes. No one yet has known how to bring my mothers clothes back to her. They bring other residents clothes to my mother. where hers goes is beyond me. We have lost 7 tops 7 pants and 7 socks also 4 bars. Lost lots of others things that we can't find at all. Only a few staff that care where her things are and really try to find them. It's like talking to the wall. When ask a question it's like I really don't know what to tell you mam. I could go on and on but no use. Just need someone higher up above them to get some real answers.

please do not be fooled by the appearence of this place. If you really look around the place is falling to pieces and is dirty. Housekeeping needs a lesson in real cleaning. The food they serve the residents is worse than prison food. The dietary dept needs real help. They use to have a really great activities department that was always doing something with the residents fun and different activities. My loved one use to look forward to activities now we don't see them doing anything much more than church service which is great but this isn't all they need. The young Therapphy dept is definitely a plus for this facility I hope it maintains a high standard and continues to look after the residents. The CNA staff isnt around long enough to get to knoow the residents needs so therefore the care is fair at best. With the exception of a few!! The personal hygene for residents that cannot speak for themselves is definetly overlooked at this facility. We are concerned about the lack of direction at this facility. Does the left hand know what the right hand is doing?

My sister passed away September 7th of this year at Bridgecrest and to be honest, I have some serious reservations about her passing as hospice thought she had several months but two days after I signed the hospice paperwork, she suddenly died and NO ONE CALLED ME until she had passed. Someone at this facility stole her wedding rings off her body in the short time before she was transferred to the funeral home and they have done NOTHING TO LOCATE THEM.

Since that time, I have had a difficult time getting the nursing home to return the money I put in trust for my sister. When I finally did receive a check a month after I requested it, the check bounced. My bank submitted the check twice and it bounced both times and I was also charged fees by my bank because they wrote me a bad check.

I have called and left messages, they will not return my phone calls. Finally, I called and got a nurse on the phone who went and tracked down a "Jacqueline" to talk to me who is responsible for returning the funds and she lied and said she didn't put the money in there until Thursday, Dec 4th, the same day the check bounced the second time. Why would you write a check dated October 30, 2014 and not put the money in the account until December 4??? iT WAS MY MONEY THAT I GAVE THEM, IT SHOULD HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AVAILABLE. Then I spoke with Nicole Scott who is the administrator and she assured me that she would get "corporate" to send me a check. This conversation occurred on 12/8. I gave her a week and no check. This is not money for services I rendered, this is money I gave them to hold in trust. This money should never have been touched by anyone!!!!

I've done some research into Karissa Health Care and I have found multiple people listed as "President", an Amanda Stuart with a business address of 920 Ridgebrook Road, Sparks, Maryland and a phone number of 817-804-5200 which is a Texas area code not a Maryland area code. The Maryland address on google shows an office building.

Also, I was suppose to receive a monthly accounting of the balance in that trust fund and I never received even one statement from them. I believe they also received a large sum of money from my sister's prior nursing home which was Green Acres located at 2000 Beaumont Street, Baytown, Texas. This money has never been accounted for and I believe was somewhere around $5000.00.

IF YOU HAVE A LOVED ONE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! IT MAY LOOK 5 STAR ON THE OUTSIDE BUT IT IS A BUNCH OF LIARS AND THIEVES ON THE INSIDE.

Would definitely recommend

Staff is compassionate and knowledgeable, facility is new and beautiful. Top of the line rehabilitation gym, equipment, and therapy staff. The best place in Houston to send your loved one for short term rehab, skilled nursing, or long term nursing care.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!! Nice, Nice, New rehab center. Or that's what my sister thought. My sister was there for approxs. 5 weeks. Four people died on her hall wing during her stay. The Physical and Occupational Theropists were marvelous. The Nurseing staff was marvelous. The folks in the front office were ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. When Medicare stopped paying, trumped up reasons she had to go. Trumped up reasons so she could never return. All but threw her out the front door. Sent her home with Edema on her legs. Marked her as independent when she couldn't shower by herself. When she couldn't drive herself to the Doctor or pharmacy or anywhere. Be careful, remember, you can't judge a book by its cover. What looks to good is not necessarily so.

My mom was one of the first residents at Bridgecrest. We moved there in April and she lived there until her death, at age 97, August 29, 2014. I have had vast experience with a number of nursing homes in the East Harris County/Baytown/Pasadena area. Bridgecrest is by far head and shoulders above the rest of them. The love, compassion and care they gave my mom was beyond compare. After she went into hospice (1 week) and we were there almost around the clock, they took care of us like we were one of their own. Kudos to everyone at Bridgecrest the administrator to the housekeeping crew. Y'all are so awesome. Much love and thanks, Cindi Nettles
