Carrabba's Italian Grill

This was my first time at this restaurant and the service and food was excellent. If you like soup, their chicken soup is the best. The menu has lots to chose from and the portions are just right. I will definitely come again!

Please take note that the date of this review is Valentine's Day. I made reservations a week ago and when I called the first thing I asked was "Are you taking reservations for Valentine's Day". I was told "absolutely!" and so I proceeded to make my reservation. Getting there 15mins early, I witnessed a SWARM of people there. I got inside and informed the person taking names that I had a reservation to which I was immediately told they do not take reservations, only "Early Call ins" and that I would need to wait 25-35mins. I asked why they didn't tell me this when I made reservations a WEEK ago and was told "oh we tell everyone about the no reservation policy" What?! I waited 40 mins, then was told it would be another 40mins minimum with TWELVE more tables ahead of me. I had a party of two. While waiting, I heard other people tell their stories about how they were told they had reservations, no mention of the no reservation policy. There were AT LEAST 50-100 people waiting on line inside and outside on Valentine's Day! Apparently this unscrupulous buisiness had told EVERYONE they had reservations regardless of whether they could seat them or not. Of course they didn't tell anyone the truth, because who would want to wait 2 hours for a table when you had reservations!!



To add insult to injury, they were ALSO talking walk ins and putting them on the same wait line as the reservations. Sure, they let more reserved people in to make it more fair, but they still worked the walkins inbetween so the "Reserved" people got to wait even longer! I don't care if you think the food at this place is good or not, unscrupulous behavior like this to maximize your business at the expense of everyone's Valentine's day is DISGUSTING. Do not give THIS place your business. The one right off of Miami Garden's Drive should be shut down. I spoke to my friends and they told me this is common practice at this Carrabba's.. Even on regular days they do not honor reservations and come up with stories as to why you need to wait an extra hour+ WITH reservations. As I was leaving, they were telling walkins the wait would be 40mins and those with reservations 25-30mins. I would have been waiting 1.5hrs WITH reservations. The fact that they continuously lied to the people just walking in shows how disgusting the staff at this place truely are.. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. With such a staff that treat people with such disrespect to their face, can you imagine what they do to their food in the kitchen and out of sight? Garbage place.. If I could give it negative stars, it would get -4.

I personally think this the best italian restaurant I have ever been to in Florida. The food was authentic and absolutely delicious, and the drinks are extra ordinary. The enviroment was romantic, and high class. The service was fantastic.The price was resonable. The canolis were definetly the top of it all. This place is still very new but I think with time this place can go up the scale very quickly.
