Hammers Moving Storage

I contracted Jensen Movers for a local relocation. I was quoted a price of $4,433. The actual price was $6,439 or a 45% increase. The quote was from the owner after visiting and quoting the size of our move. Upon arrival at the new location, our furniture would not be unloaded without the balance being paid with cash or a certified check. The move required three days to pack and load. Crew size was cut in half on the first day. Completion of the move did not finish until 8:30 PM on the third day. A grandfathers clock was not properly crated as agreed and damage occurred that required repair after arrival. Although insurance was a selling feature, Jensen denies any responsibility for lack of shipping integrity. I could say more on other damage, but I am out of space. Steve

These people totally screwed me. They reloaded my household onto another truck. I was promised they wouldn't. Five states later it turns out I was missing a box which they packed, and they refused to pay any thing for its contents. I received $60.00 for a Pottery Barn table with a paint finish that they cracked the leg and the crack went into the front drawer. Don't use them. I really regret hiring them. This was a $6,000.00 move.And after paying all that money they screwed me.

Had a great move! Crew was professional and courteous. Took special care of my antiques and baby grand piano. I ran out of time and they sent a crew to help me finish packing--what a lifesaver! This company catered to my needs. I wanted service and thats what I got.

This was without a doubt the worst move we have encountered, and we have done several. From not packing the entire home (various items left around the house as they underestimated their time for another job and were extremely late for ours), to unloading over the course of two days, not providing the "exclusive" service advertised as another load was on the truck, not protecting our carpeting properly, "dumping" items where it was easy for workers, versus where we would have wanted them, grossly overcharging due to "additional packing" when it was done by us not them, and finally, horrible unpleasant office staff. Buyer Beware! They may look good on paper but the reality is very different!
