Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation or augmentation mammaplasty is the plastic surgical procedure used to increase the size and sometimes the shape of a woman’s breast. This is accomplished by the placement of implants beneath the chest muscle and the existing breast tissue. Face Lift
Some surgeons and aestheticians refer to the procedures herein described as a “non-surgical facelift.” Creative ways to apply peeling solutions do not change the fact that the materials cause a separation of the upper layer of skin which “peels” or “sheds” within a few days.
Blepharoplasty
The goal of the face-lift operation is to reduce the sagging and wrinkling caused by loose skin and to lift or re-position both the muscles and fatty tissues of the face and neck which tend to sag with advancing years or premature aging. Face-lifting does not correct problems in the upper or lower eyelids, or the wrinkles or creases in the lips-other procedures (blepharoplasty or skin resurfacing) are required for these conditions, but can be performed at the same time.

Nose Surgery
One of the outcomes of my consult with Dr McCollough was having rhinoplasty surgery. He explained how he could make my nostrils more symmetrical and “even out” the tip of my nose. The day after my surgery I went to the clinic for a post-op checkup. The first thing Dr. McCollough said to me was actually a question. He asked if I had been having headaches. I responded that I had, thinking how did he know! He explained during surgery, he repaired my septum which was deviated and removed a bone spur that was pressing into the side wall of my nose. I was in amazement. Initially thinking the resolution to my headaches would be more time extensive and serious, Dr McCollough found that my headaches were a result of problems inside my nose. Repairing my deviated septum and removing the bone spur alleviated my headaches. Prior to surgery, my General Doctor concluded the headaches were from a sinus infection and suggested nasal spray and possibly antibiotics; my optometrist said they were migraines triggered by something I was around. It is amazing. I have not had headaches since my nose surgery. Not only does my nose now look great, I feel so much better. Otoplasty is the name of the procedure designed to reposition or “pin back” protruding ears. This deformity often causes deeper emotional upset than is generally realized by the patient’s friends or parents. Superficial layers of skin can be removed by a variety of methods of skin resurfacing including chemical peeling, dermabrasion and laser resurfacing. Each seems to have some unique qualities and an experienced surgeon can explain which procedures might be the most advantageous in any individual case.

Dermabrasion
In some patients the herniated fat producing “bags” or bulges in the lower lid can be removed without making an incision in the skin. The incision is made behind the lower lid thereby eliminating a visible scar. It is not possible to remove loose skin or sagging wrinkles when this method (behind the lid) is used but skin resurfacing (laser, peeling or dermabrasion) can be performed at the same time in order to minimize many of the fine wrinkles.

This condition may be improved by the forehead lift operation or by the excision of skin above the drooping section of the brow. Both procedures “lift” the brow, upper lid, and surrounding tissues which usually results in eyes that appear larger, more rested and more youthful.

Skin Cancer
Melanoma may arise on any area of the body. It is usually a brown-black or multicolored patch or plaque with an irregular border. It may originate in a preexisting mole but may occur as an isolated lesion. Any change in the appearance of a mole is highly suspicious. Melanoma has a high rate of metastasis if not treated early and is perhaps the most dangerous form of skin cancer.

The Yag energy heats and shrinks blood vessels, causing them to collapse. Small varicose veins and vascular lesions such as angiomas can be removed with this device.
Chemical Peels
Appearance of aging hands is characterized by the loss of fat volume and muscle atrophy of the back of the hand, leading to overly prominent bones, tendons and veins, imparting a skeletal appearance. A dermal filler (Restylane Lyft) can be injected to soften this. Additional treatments to target skin quality and discoloration on the back of the hands, such as IPL or a series of chemical peels can further rejuvenate the hands.
