RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!

I worked here for several years they sell you burial vaults and pre set them, even though you wont use them for years. The mark up on the headstones is 75% more then they pay. the grounds are unkept and sloppy. The funeral home manager is a raving drunk that sends the needy families away because he cant make commissions on you. the cemetery manager lies constantly go to glassdoor.com and read their reveiws before using them see how they treat people. Take a tour first look at all the busted headstones and broken mausoleum fronts do your homework first!!!!!!

The cemetery is amuck. Last year they decided to remove randomly shephard hooks from the cemetery. When asked why, I was told by an official of the cemetery that "two boys took shephard hooks and had a sword fight and now they are removing them for insurance purposes.

Well they took some and left others. They then sent letters and posted a sign that there were to be no more shephard hooks. But included in this was ALSO the Bronze Military Flag Holders (from the American Legion) that are found at many veterans graves. They took the one for my father and threw it out. When I complained I was told that it was a mistake and it should not have been taken. After replacing it this past year I discovdered on August 5 that they removed these from the ground and tossed them into a vase that was part of the head stone so that it leaned over and nearly falling out.

In addition, their Cemetery Grounds Manager Justin Ayres either allows, condones or instructs the grounds people that they can mow down the American Flag s placed on the veterans graves. I have complained before about the grounds people running into the flags, flowers, and even the bronze vases that are part of the grave markers - often times than not breaking their bases so that they no longer stand up or can be returned to its storage position. Official response was that these are foreigners who cut the grass. As if that is some excuse. A manager, supervisor doing their job would make sure that these acts of violence and destruction would not be tolerated.

And now for the flowers. It seems that unless you put cheap plasttic flowers in the vases that come with the grave markers, you are out of luck. This past May I asked TWO cemetery officials and they said that real flowers are allowed but they must sit on top over the grave markers and not beside them.

We put out real flowers in pots on/over the markers and they have been removed. We could not find them even among the plastic flowers they removed from other grave sites. I guess because they were real, and that we go there 3 to 4 times a week to water them and they look nice, someone might have thougt it was nice enough to take home with them after removing it from the grave sites. What is an insult is that we showed the staff at the grave site and they said our flowers met their requirements. Then without any notice they decided to vandalize the graves.

I have spoken to many others who visit the graves of their love ones and some of us are even willing to help the cemetery in their communications and with projects to make the cemetery more beautiful. I have even spoken to the gal who oversees the cemetery and given her my phone number. Never once have we been contacted. I was told once tha they wanted volunteers to shore up some stones in a pet section (which I never knew existed).

Those who have an invested interest in the cemetery do not wish ill on the company that manages it. We only wish that some respect, communication, and some common sense be exercised. What can be done to get that message through?

This place is a complete joke. Don't ever send anyone you love here.

The staff are rude, forgetful & arrogant. They treat you & your loved one with the most disrespect I have ever seen.

We made payments on a headstone every month before payment was due. They would apparantly just write it down & randonly run the payments whenever they got around to it, often forgetting to do it at all. Then would leave nasty messages about needing payment.

After finally getting the headstone payed for, the office lady, Cathy, very rudely told us that it was all done & to not ever call her again.

It is now 5 months later & we call to check on the progress of the headstone, only to be told that they haven't even ordered it yet because we have to come in & sign something first. Would have been nice to know 5 months ago!

Once they get your money, they could care less what happens after that. It's not like we can take our loved one anywhere else.

Stay away from Forrest Lawn.

This is the absolute worst funeral home I have ever been to. They cheat you for an incredible amount of money only to treat your loved one with an incredible amount of disrespect. DO NOT plan a funeral here!

If you look at their website for testimonials, well, there are none. If providing a service for you, you may understand why also. Lack of professionalism, shifty on what price you will eventually end up paying, forget about what you may have prepaid as you are sure to be charged more when all is said and done. This is not the service I would have hoped for when it came time to bury my father. Please choose another service provider. Thank you, Mark Stalets and family.

DO NOT order headstones through the funeral home, on the 1st of July it will be 11 months I order and paid for my husband's headstone and keep getting the run around. I don't believe they will ever get it. I will probably have to get a lawyer.

OVER CHARGED

I was charged over a thousand more than other places on the HEADSTONE ONLY! Check prices elsewhere first!

I don't even want to know what I was over charged on everything else. DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING THEY TELL YOU! I could have bought and had anther co install. They said they had to install at 695 NOT TRUE! Uncle cost 1200 less for almost same headstone less than 6 months later from a competitor.
