Worst service in my life, they had my ski for ten weeks and racked up over $600 in extra charges that was never approved or even discussed! They never even called me one time to discuss charges! Got it back very dirty with used oil in the bottom of the moter compartment, debri in the impeller, and approx. 8 extra hours on it? Argued with the owner and was even threatend! Do not go there they do not know what they are doing ! Horrible !

If you value your hard earned money and recreational vehicles/watercraft, DO NOT take them to East Carolina Powersports for repair or maintenance. I had a Yamaha Waverunner with a frozen throttle shaft, that under the recommendation of one of the partners from my practice, I took there for repairs. After having it for 9 months, they only rebuilt the carburetors, which in no way addresses the throttle shaft. They put the carbs back on the engine, with the throttle shaft still frozen. During the whole 9 month process, which they initially said would take only "a couple of weeks," they never called me to give me any updates on the progress of the repairs. I constantly had to call them to get updates and to make sure they were actually working on the Waverunner. They sent the carbs out of the shop to be rebuilt at their Goldsboro location, and ended up actually losing the carbs for a couple of weeks until they were found on a back shelf. Fortunately, I was able to find a good deal of information regarding the frozen throttle shaft problem online, and after picking up my Waverunner, I performed the repair myself. It took me two days to do what East Carolina Powersports, supposedly Yamaha certified technicians, couldn't do in a nine month period of time. Greenhulk.net is a great resource for those interested in doing repairs/upgrades yourself on personal watercraft. I'd also mention that when I took the exhaust and carbs off myself, none of gas or oil lines on the carbs had been resecured with zip ties, the way they come from the factory. If an oil line comes off of the carbs, the engine/piston will seize and cause extensive and expensive damage. There were also several loose washers, bolts, and a random spring in the hull, which could also damage the craft. They also managed to break the fuel selector which they probably didn't even notice and didn't fix. All in all, the service and craftsmanship/attention to detail was extremely poor. I wouldn't recommend using East Carolina Powersports for repairs to anyone. The only redeeming factor was that the owner was apologetic and he only charged me for the parts to rebuild the carbs and deducted the labor.

Don't go!!! Took my late model jet ski in for an oil change...two months later got it back . The bill was over 400.00. Said it also needed a battery that I had just replaced. Put jetski in garage over the winter and it wouldn't crank come spring. Battery wouldn't even take a charge. Called ecps , they said it was my fault for not trickle charging over the winter....Crappy service and crappier people.
