Great Neck Medical Group, LLP

The most upsetting and unprofessional experience I've ever had in a medical setting was at this office today. They scraped the bottom of the barrel to find Valerie, Dr. Kobren's secretary. Dr. Kobren himself and his nurse were very nice, however this vile, disgusting, poor excuse for a human Valerie should not be dealing with the public. I did absolutely nothing to her except approach her after the doctor informed me that she would "help" me by completing the forms for my employment physical. She was immediately rude and nasty- huffing and puffing and speaking to me in a condescending tone. When another staff member, Regina, approached, she expressed her disgust with the fact that she had to fill out these forms- forms which she literally threw at me with a pen. At this point I could no longer hold it in and had to ask her just exactly what her problem is and why must she be so rude. Naturally, she denied it just as she denied throwing the forms and pen at me. I told her that she's very unprofessional and she said "Yeah, ok. Regina you can handle this one." I threw her pen right back and her and was left to deal with Regina, who was helpful but not at all compassionate or caring. I guess I left out the most important detail- I am 6 months pregnant and was crying and very upset by this point. Regina continued to speak to me and ask me questions, completely ignoring how upset I was, not even as much as passing me a tissue. This whole experience was so surreal, and not something I'd expect from people who are in the business of "patient care." This is the type of behavior I would expect from the DMV! Judging by other reviews I've read, I can see I'm not alone and the staff here has a very poor reputation. But Valerie, Dr. Kobren's secretary is a special kind of low life. I will never deal with this unprofessional and downright uncaring practice again.
