City Great Falls Animal Shelter

This humane society was ridiculous! They put up a great front but then when I got home with my animal he started growling and becoming aggresive towards my daughter and my husband, mind you we had played with him for awhile and the employees stated "he's great, NOT aggressive, has never snipped, you can take the food from him, etc etc" Well, it seems he is the complete opposite, he growls constantly at my husband and daughter, you CAN NOT take his food, he is way too possesive, he doesn't listen to any command and jumps up to all counters and dressers. I completely understood that we would have to handle some training with this dog but the growling, snipping and becoming aggressive is something we were NOT prepared for considering ALL papers from this humane society stated very clear that "he's GREAT with men, women and CHILDREN, also that you CAN TAKE HIS food at any time with no ISSUES!! very UNaggressive!" The humane society stated he's a "husky" breed, we took him to the vet to find he's a MALAMUTE/SHEPHERD mix which is more on the "wolf" side, so yet another LIE from this humane society, I have had the dog less than 24 hours and called them as soon as they opened and they stated I have 3 options (1) return the animal and be put on to the DO NOT donate liste (2) take him to training classes (3) find him a good home.... WHY should I BE PUNISHED when THEY MISLED myself and MY FAMILY?!?!? Currently there are no training classes until JAnuary which means over a month will pass then training will be nearly $700.00 I will NEVER go back to this HUMANE SOCIETY AGAIN, when I had called the lady was VERY RUDE, interrupted me several times and had no COMPASSION for having falsified information on the animal we adopted. I understand we signed papers however, it's less than 24 hours and the dog is acting COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from what they advertised to us! We feel since this is a smaller town this humane society feels they can get AWAY WITH ANYTHING! Never again I tell you, they are absolutely HORRIBLE!
