Mike Anderson's Seafood Rstrnt

My food was awful. I got the fried platter and everything tasted the same and was overcooked. My fish was so thin the meat was mushy. I got two fried shrimp four Lil crab claws and at first I forgot I got crawfish tails and thought they gave me popcorn shrimp. The shrimp and crab tasted fishy. The broiled platter was no better, it looked thrown together and overcooked. The shrimp was in wine that wasn't cooked out and you tasted it. It shall had a mineral taste. The best thing was the fried green tomatoes.

Maybe should have read the reviews first! But as for Mike Andersons I don't think I'll ever go back. My husband and I decided to go for our anniversary big mistake. We're not from the Baton Rouge /Gonzales area so we wanted to go somewhere different. The service was horrible and slow the we sat for about 20 minutes before a waitress even came to greet us or offer drinks (we should have left then) then our waitress decided she should chit chat with the people she knew so our service from her was just bad all together. The kitchen was being "remodeled" so there was a limited menu the food was ok was sort of thrown on the plate. I really didn't have a good first experience there and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I won't be back!

At about 1pm, we were seated right away... Long wait for the food, but it was good yet over-priced. And, the service was poor.

Best burgers in town!!!! Great sporty feel! Would love to see more varity of food selection, but overall good.

They are always very busy which is a testament to how good the food is. Once you get seated, the service is typically very good.

My wife and I enjoyed a wounderful evening, celebrating our 30th anniversary. The management and staff went out of there way to make it a special evening. The seafood was great !! I would recommend that everyone try this local restaurant. Why go out of town with such a great place to dine right here in Gonzales.

When my family and I went there the wait was unbelievable. They seemed very unorganized!! We had a problem and one of the managers came over. She had long dark hair and was young. She was very rude. She tried offering us a gift certificate. We took it but won't ever go back. The only reason why we took it was so she would leave the table. She was very pushy. I think they were remodeling and there was dust everywhere. The only reason we stayed is because we already waited so long and it was getting late and we didn't want to wait anywhere else. We will NEVER go back and recommend somewhere else for our friends. They must be affiliated with Holiday Inn. I wonder if I should complain to that company?m
