Started by my dad, Walt Ham, now owned and operated by me, Dan Ham...and my son Andrew Ham is the third generation of Ham's to one day take over. My father started with a payment of $25 given by a neighbor in 1950 up in Long Island, NY for some flowers and the elderly woman liked my dad and his work so much she gave him a $25 tip! A lot of money back then! She told her friend about him...she did the same...then another and another...then soon my dad realized he was making more money doing that than going door to door selling electrolux vacuum cleaners that people were skeptical of sine no one really heard of an electric vacuum cleaner at that time...lol. After building the business up my dad re-located to southern New Jersey when i was about a year old...stayed there for 6 years and then had enough of the cold winters and brought the business back to his home town of Goldsboro in 1966. At that time he was one of only two landscapers in the area and landscaped most of the homes in Walnut Creek, as well as most business' in the area. We also have a fully-stocked nursery specializing in hard to find plants that are much larger and cheaper than most of our competitors. WE ARE NOT A "MOW, BLOW, AND GO" company.
