Dollar General

I have shopped at this store since I was a child, it was always clean one of the workers Dorothy was always kind and friendly. Now, the store is filthy, the workers act like you are inconveniencing them by asking where an item is, since the store was remodeled, they make you wait several minutes to get checked out at the register. Today, I went in for some plastic bowls, I walked past a clearance shelf, it had boxes that said $1, and the boxes were full of winter hats for children. I walked to the register and after waiting several minutes for worker Carla to come ring me up, wile the manager was working in an isle next to the register completely ignoring me. Carla come up and rang up the hat, it rang for $6. I told her it was in a $1 box. She said" well someone might've thrown that in there" I told her that the boxes were full of those hats, she disagreed and I went to grab one of the boxes and brought it to the register, she dug through it and found a couple of things that werent the hats and told me "see these hats aren't supposed to be in here" I got angry and said "so then why are there 3 other boxes exactly the same? Someone took all those hats and threw them in the $1 box just because?" Then she grabbed the manager ignoring us. The manager said "I can't override that" I said "I know you can, let me show you all the other boxes with the hats in it" she refused. We started arguing and she said "I am not going to override that, you need to leave my store" by now she and I are both yelling. I looked at both women and told them I am filling a complaint on this store. Carla was standing the whole time with her eyes wide and her mouth hanging open.



I shop at the kiefer store more than the Glenpool store, mainly because kiefer store is so much more friendly, I felt this way before the situation. I went to the kiefer store and told the manager there this story. He' gave me a number to file a complaint at corporate, and said that the employees should have been the ones to walk to check the boxes and there is no reason why the manager wouldn't have done an override for this item. I will NEVER go back to that store as long as they continue to have such poor customer service.
