Dental Sealants
Dr. Linda Nguyen, Dr. Tom Nguyen, and our dental hygienists are excellent in providing dental hygiene care. In addition to the meticulous cleaning, polishing, and examination of your teeth, Dr's Tom and Linda Nguyen also take the time to help our patients develop proper oral hygiene habits at home. We will evaluate your hygiene techniques and make adjustments to your routine where needed. Our doctors and hygienists will also make suggestions for preventative measures such as dental sealants or nightguards to protect against bruxism & TMJ.

Fillings
Resin Composite
The bonding procedure is usually completed by Drs Linda and Tom Nguyen in one visit. The first step is to remove the decayed or unsightly portion of the tooth. The tooth is then etched with a liquid or gel and a bonding agent is then applied. This will allow the composite resin to be placed in the prepared tooth. The resin is then trimmed and polished, leaving you with a beautifully sculpted, natural-looking restoration.
Veneers
In most cases capping to correct spaces isn't necessary. Today with beautiful, natural looking porcelain veneers (also called porcelain facings) we can easily make dramatic cosmetic changes to remove spaces, fix cracked teeth, do minor tooth straightening, and change the color of your teeth. In many instances, little or no tooth structure needs to be removed to create the smile of your dreams
Crowns
Inlays and onlays are sometimes referred to as partial crowns. These partial crowns are utilized when there is still a healthy enamel portion of the tooth. An inlay or onlay is a like a puzzle piece that will be fitted into the remaining portion of the tooth to help increase its strength. This piece is usually crafted out of porcelain or gold, but can also be made of a composite material. We will make the determination as to which restoration will work best in your specific situation.
Bridges
A bridge, by definition, is a link or connection between two permanent structures. A dental bridge is very similar in that it attaches the restorative teeth (bridge) to the natural teeth on either side of the gap. This bridge acts as your new teeth, closing the gap and restoring your smile. Bridges are often constructed of gold or metal foundations with porcelain fused to the foundation. This ensures that the bridge will support the normal functions of the mouth.

Dr. Linda Nguyen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of Southern California (USC) in 1990. Then, she went on advancing her education and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from USC School of Dentistry in 1994. During her dental school education, she received the most prestigious Fixed Prosthodontics Award for her excellence in restorative dentistry. Dr. Nguyen was also clinical professor at USC dental school.

Root Canal Treatment
As we get a little older, our teeth begin to change and are prone to decay. There are many possible reasons for this change in your smile. These reasons can include bruxism (teeth grinding), general decay, cracked fillings, root canals, and many others. If your tooth is beyond repair with a filling material, we may recommend that the best viable option to save the tooth is a full crown. The reasons for this type of restoration in a badly damaged tooth are durability, cosmetic appearance, and overall support of the chewing function.

Periodontal Surgery
Dr. Tom Nguyen is a California Board Certified Dentist, California Board Certified I.V. Conscious Sedation, California Board Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist, California Board Certified Register Nurse, and California State Department of Consumer Affair I.V. Conscious Sedation Evaluator. He has been practicing in Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Implant Surgery, Periodontal Surgery, and Intravenous conscious sedation for the last 16 years.

Dr. Tom Nguyen and Dr. Linda Nguyen are highly experienced in dentures and false teeth. They believe they should look natural and feel comfortable for you to be at your best.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
Dr. Linda Nguyen constantly volunteers her time and resources to under privileged countries and just recently participated in a dental implant surgery missionary service to Peru. She and a group of five other doctors had provided more than 200 surgical dental implant placements and related oral surgery procedures such as oral cancer prevention and tumor removal at Policlinico Naval De San Porja. This was an approximate charity of a million dollars in dental services.
Gum Surgery
We have found, many times, surgery is not necessary following a conservative course of periodontal treatment. This type of care typically includes a series of nonsurgical gum treatments. Even when surgery is required, it often is needed only in a few areas of the mouth and results can be greatly enhanced by nonsurgical preparation.
Tooth Extractions
Facial Swelling: Facial Swelling in the area of your tooth extraction need to be managed with heat after the first 24 hours of ice. Use a moist warm towel and apply it to the area on a 20-minute-on, 20-minute-off schedule. Repeat as necessary.
