St David's Georgetown Hospital

This hospital and their doctors that are staffed are ripping people off. We took our daughter in for a nurse maid elbow and we were in and out in twenty mins. The people gave us an estimate of $133.00. When we received our bill the charges from the hospital doubled and the charges from the doctor where $615.00. They also charged us for taking up two units, we only used one. This is incredibly ridiculous. We cannot afford any insurance and cannot get assistance from the state, we are in that sweet spot as far as income goes. With charges like these there is no wonder why we are having such problems with healthcare, we are at their mercy. Oh and just so its out there the specific doctor was Ryan Ramsey, I would recommend you request someone else if he shows up. He was very friendly but heck, I would be too if I charged $615.00 for less than ten minutes of contact time with my patients. Hope this helps someone else avoid being taken advantage of.
