Corner Store

I have lived in Georgetown since 1999, just 3 blocks down from this Valero. The employees that have and are still working there are wonderful people. This store is very much like an old fashioned "corner store" in that most of the customers are from the neighborhood surrounding it. Many of us know one another and all the employees seem to know us as well. Many times they even know what we want without us asking for it. They treat all people with kindness and helpfulness. I have two sons, ages 10 and 12. They both love Valero and my youngest son even says it is his favorite store. I have often given him a Valero gift card as a gift for occasions. My son's have recently been allowed to walk down to the store to buy chocolate milk, chips and candy. The first few times the employees saw my sons come in by themselves they asked them if their mom knew they were there and had given them permission to come. My sons assured them that I knew. I felt very good that they cared enough about my sons to ask them these questions.



These store is also always very clean, well stocked and managed very well. I once spilled a hot chocolate all over the counter and floor as I was trying to pay for it. The manager just laughed and said not to worry about, to go get another hot chocolate and she would take care of it. She even went so far as to tell me that she has done the very same thing before and has had many customers also spill things. This made me feel much better because there were many customers behind me and I feel they were also made to feel better after the managers comments.



We do have other convience stores near us but I only give my business to Valero, all of us in my family even get some exercise on occasion by walking to and from the store---------except when we are buying ice!!
