I would NOT recommend The Learning Tree, not anymore anyway. I worked there, in the 2.5-3.5 y/o class for about 4 months. The children were great and i can say while I was working there the children in MY class were being treated fairly, cleaned and changed often, and generally very happy and enjoied their time there. BUT the other employees that I worked with did not do their jobs as well as they could have AND should have. There is a lot of favoritism, between the owner and her employees as well as the owner and the children/parents. The employees that the owner has a close or personal relationship with get special treatment, as in; being allowed to have/use cell phones while on the clock and while the children in their designated room are awake and active, NOT being reprimanded if the time sheet (for diaper changes and whether the diaper changed was 1. clean 2.wet 3.soiled) for their room wasn't filled out, as well as getting longer lunches. Also, referring to the favoritism between the owner and the parents/children, I can personally attest to one specific parent who had picked her children up 5 minutes late one day because of traffic, and was told not to bring her children back the next day. She was cut just like that with no notice, and no chance to explain or redeem herself, and no grace period to find another daycare. I can also personally attest to the owner LYING to a parent about how an injury occurred with their child, because the mother of child A was a friend of hers. During arts and crafts time, child A grabbed child B by the face (hands on the sides on his face/cheeks) and bite child B's nose, and drew blood. The wound was two very distinct tooth marks, I witnessed it myself, then later wrote up an incident report, and and accident report, (incident report goes the parents of the child who was injured, accident report goes to the parents of the aggressor, or vice versa. I don't recall which is which) and made a copy of each, one for the parent and one for the files. The next day when I returned to work I noticed the reports were not in the binder where we keep all of the files for my class, so I asked my boss, the owner, and she said she had them. Then, one of the other teachers came to me on her break and informed me that the owner and thrown away my reports and rewritten it saying, child B broke the plastic basket (used for storing toys) and accidentally cut his nose on it while unsupervised. I'm pretty sure that can't be legal in the first place, but on top of changing my report, she made it seem, to the parents, that I was not watching their child. When in actuality I saw exactly what happened, when it happened.
So overall, the owner is biased, unfair, and clearly has no problem lying about what goes on in her Daycare.

Do NOT take This place at face value

I would leave 0 stars if it would let me. This morning I showed the director mold in my babies nipple and contacted the proper authorities. Yesterday they left my baby in a room with hand foot mouth disease disinfecting it. Before that, they left my baby in a room with large amounts of fumes in the area. Disinfecting is necessary, but you completely get rid of strep germ, my baby should has been moved. She has had a bad cough since. Last week, a woman they had never seen came into get my baby. It was my mother. They did not ID. Not only that, but when my mother picked her up she was crying so badly she was gasping. The woman in the room told my mother she was just sleepy, yet on the daily sheet, it showed my baby had eaten 20 minutes before, still had an ounce and a half left and had just awoke from a two hour nap. She was still hungry and the woman wouldn't feed her. Also, two weeks prior, I was called to come get my baby because she had a virus and threw up a large amount. My baby has acid reflux. I went straight to the doc who confirmed no virus and my baby was fine. All of this happened in less than 6 weeks. talking to the director was not helpful at all. She became very defensive and frazzled with each of these issues. This morning I was also asked to leave for having complaints that she didn't have an answer to. This woman erased my review from Facebook so no one would see the truth. although these people care, my advice would be to take your children elsewhere. There are some serious training and safety issues that needs to be addressed immediately. There have been many more stories I have come across, similar to mine, yet nothing is ever done to make sure they stop happening.

My two children have been goin...

My two children have been going to The Learning Tree for the past two years. I have an infant and Two year old. We are very pleased with the center. Their 3 STAR rating was wonderful last year and we hope the best for them this year. The center is very clean as my children love coming there. Ms. Amber is wonderful in the Infant room. I would recommend this center to all of my friends.

My child has attended this day...

My child has attended this daycare since the age of 13 weeks and is now 26 months and I have overall been pleased with the care and service. I am pleased with the care my child has received. Any issues that I have experienced have been addressed promptly by the staff. My child was in attendance when the previous reviewer had her child enrolled. While I do not know who the previous reviewer might be or comment on her personal experiences and observation, I can tell you that I was in that daycare every day around lunch and never observed any of the activities that she described. Yes babies were sometimes crying but I never saw a child left to cry for an extended period of time. Several infants were let go from the daycare during that time period as the owner restructured the daycare and changed the number of infants and older infants/toddlers that she accepted.

NO bad place

This daycare is horrible at sanitation. My child attended this daycare and they would put the babies in the floor and allow them to dump the toys out of their bends onto the floor where everyone walks and play with the same toys another child just had in their mouth. My child was never sick until I let them attend this daycare, however, after they attended they were there fourteen days out of sixty five. I would walk in and one person would be attending to 8 babies while several were in the floor screaming their head off and there would be people un front just standing around. Several times there were no clothes on my baby with the room being so cold he would be covered with snot. THey have the worst attitude and let my son go when i began complaining. I would never let a child attend this school because I like to know my children are being taken care of. I put my child in another day care and they have not been sick since. This tells me it was the daycare causing it.
