I have 6 pets and my experience with the vets was awesome, but enuf of multidiscount

The wellness plan was excellent for when my dogs were puppies because all the shots were hundreds of dollars each and it would have been impossible for me to pay for all of them.

However, now that they're Up-To-Date on all their shots, there's really no reason to keep the Wellness program since all it gives is 20% discount on pretty much store products - I don't shop at the store so it doesn't help me.

I can't speak for all Banfields, but the one I went to in Frederick, MD never had an actual Vet doctor on scene for most of my pups' visits. I brought my male pup in for a urinary tract infection and the vet tech put the information into the computer, the vet came in and looked at the computer (never at the dog), and then prescribed antibiotics that were wildly overpriced. When I inquired about why they were so pricey even with the Wellness plan, I was informed that the plan doesn't cover those types of meds.

Another time, I came in for a 2pm appt - I wasn't seen until 330pm and was late getting to work.

There is one small waiting room where all the animals wait regardless of what species. Sick animals are not quarantined from the healthy ones.

The staff is nice and all have animals, but no one is really trained on anything but punching stuff into the computer and accepting whatever diagnosis it spits out.
