We bought our car here and also use them for service. The car purchase was fine, but I wasn't wild about their sales tactics with regard to up selling service and warranty agreements. Be prepared to refuse these offers. We are however happy with the service department for their competitive pricing.

I take my car in for maintenance there every couple of months. The service is always excellent and the staff very kind. They are honest and don't try to sell you things you do not need. The price is not much different from other local oil shops and you don't have to deal with the hassle of being haggled. They also was your car for you at no additional cost.

I cannot convey the skepticism that I have always had towards "traditional" at dealers. Lets face it, their reputations have been horrible. Remember Bill Heard? Furthermore, as a former employee of Carmax for almost 4yrs, I was used to the easy way of buying a "certified" car.



I don't mind admitting that I was dead wrong to be cynical and skeptical. My salesman Greg Schmidt was fantastic, likable, and patient with me & my two screaming kids. He made the process more simple than when I bought a car from Carmax. One word on Carmax for a moment: they are NOT the best deal in town and their cleanliness and "certified" quality is marginal, from my experience. Anyway, we bought an Odyssey sight unseen, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again. Greg has 24yr experience and it shows. I got the best deal on any low mile CPO 2011 Odyssey EXL RES following a nationwide search (Carmax, cars.com, etc). I didn't have to haggle. I'm thrilled to say I was wrong, Ol' DW is the way to go for a Honda & Greg Schmidt should be your salesman.

DO NOT GO THERE

At first, I was very impressed with their service department. However, since that time I have discovered that they have lied to me at least twice about "necessary" repairs to my car. The most recent was last week when I was told that a certain part needed to be replaced that my car DOES NOT EVEN HAVE. I filed a complaint with the Volvo Corporation and they confirmed that my car does not have the part that the service department told me needed to be replaced. Prior to this incident I was told that a sway bar was COMPLETELY broken and could affect the stability of my car. While out of town, I got this looked at and was shown the actual sway bar which was NOT broken at all. I will never go back and warn everyone to stay away from this place.

Purchased "certified" used car from them. Worst experience dealing with a dealership in my life!! The first week we had the car the transmission seized and had to be replaced so they kept it for three and half weeks while we paid our first payment without even driving the vehicle!!! After weeks of being transferred to different "supervisors" and complaining that they still had my car and I was paying payments on something that was not in my possession they finally sent me a check for the first payment. Went to finally pick it up and the car had hail damage on it that happened on their lot! The mechanic that put the transmission in did not tighten the hose back and we almost lost another transmission!! The axle broke a year later. We had tremendous amounts of problems with this car and I would not ever do business with them again!!!

Excellent Customer Service

I live 30 miles away from Darrell Waltrip and they gave me a loaner car for 2 days. I have an old car and was not able to find the gas cap release on the 2008 car they gave me so I could refill the 1/4 tank of gas I used. When I asked where it was located so I could go back to the station, they said "don't worry about it". I showed them how much gas I used and they still declined my offer to reimburse them with cash twice. I also received a followup call to ask if I was satisfied with the service and repair. I recommend Darrell Waltrip.
