General Info
The Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) saves animal lives! TCAP has been a leader in animal welfare since its formation in 2002. TCAP provides compassionate solutions to pet overpopulation and euthanasia. As a non-profit, TCAP provides the lowest prices for preventative animal care throughout North Texas. In 2007, the Humane Society of the United States named TCAP as the "most innovative approach to animal welfare in the nation." TCAP's skilled and caring veterinary team has spayed/neutered more than 540,000 animals and has vaccinated more than 1 million animals against the deadly rabies virus. TCAP's ultimate goal is to substantially reduce animal overpopulation and euthanasia throughout North Texas, while we promote animal welfare. All spays and neuters at TCAP are done by appointment, while vaccines are offered on a walk-in basis during our walk-in vaccine hours.

Gave them 1 star, because there is no option for 0 stars.... which is what MY choice would have been for almost KILLING my puppy. Not only were they remorseless over what the emergency clinic called a "blatant mistake" and "carelessness", but they were absolutely unwilling to do anything after the fact even with endless paperwork being sent to them to show it was caused due to their ERROR.

Low cost high volume places are not the way to go. It cost us $1400 for emergency surgery to correct the damage done from the TCAP neuter after the fact. The vet from the emergency clinic says she has seen MANY similar cases coming from the TCAP in Burleson. They are not as experienced and get careless because they have to zoom through so many each day. I invite every pet owner considering TCAP to do their research about these types of places before you make your final decision (which could be unintentionally a much more FINAL decision for your pet).

For your pet's sake, and your wallet's sake. Spend $160 instead of $80, so you DON'T have to spend $1400 and almost lose your pet in the process. Choosing TCAP means you are gambling with your pet's life OVER LESS THAN $100. And it could very well cost you much more than you intended.

The worst place ever! They kill my dog after the surgery , they send my dog home and in 48 hours I have yo take him to emergency hospital. They could not save my dog and I ended with a 3000 dollars bill. Since you sign the papers that they not are responsible , is nothing that you can do regardless to legal. Please if you love you pet take him to a different place, since there is a low coast clinic they have too many dogs and cats to spay- nuter in short time that they don't care about doing a good work or being human compassionate with our loving pets.

Amazing place! We took our Doodle to the westport Pkwy facility to be nuetered and had no problems, and everyone was very friendly! Then we took 2 feral cats to be fixed, they were great with them also! We will definitely use them again!

We checked with the vet we hav...

We checked with the vet we have been using and three others in Keller. They ranged from $350 to $400 to spay our healthy one year old 30 lb dog. Luckily a friend referred us to TCAP. We had to wait a month to get the spay scheduled. Every staff member I spoke with by phone and each one I encountered at TCAP were smiling, friendly and helpful. I was given accurate information regarding drop-off and pickup times, however I misunderstood and expected staff to call when my dog was ready to be taken home. A staff member called at 3:30 pm to find out why I hadn't come for my dog. She was very pleasant. They had to stay late to wait for me and there was no complaint, not even a frown! My dog was spayed with no complications. I recommend TCAP for their professionalism, courtesy as well as the low cost. I plan to get my dogs vaccinations and heart worm preventative at TCAP.

Rude & waste of time

When I called to make an appointment they told me to be there before 12 in the afternoon and when I drove 30 minutes out of my way they had the nerve to tell me that the latest I was suppose to be there was 9. I got there at 930 and I told then no one told me I had a time. So she told me they call you and tell you on the "reminder" well I didn't even get a reminder. So how about you people tell people a time instead of wasting people's time and being VERY rude about it.
