AMR Corporation, located in Fort Worth, Texas, operates in the airline industry through its principal subsidiary American Airlines. Founded in 1934, the company operates scheduled airfreight carriers, and provides freight and mail services to shippers. Arpey has been the chief executive officer of AMR for more than three years. He has been with the transportation company for over 24 years. Arpey earned BBA and MBA degrees from the University of Texas-Austin.
