Kenkou Sushi and Hibachi

Delicious food, 4 stars because of service simply because it's just the one small woman holding down the Fort, poor thing.

The good is great, the prices are good, the place is clean...the only thing is that I feel the service is bad!!! I may be taking this personally but we have been going to Kenkou since it opened, and I feel as they got busier they have brushed us aside...when we call to place an order it is almost as if they do not want to take the order!!!! They say they are very busy, they say to call back later?!! I mean that is not how to treat a loyal customer!! I always feel as if they do not want to serve us, we have stopped eating in there, we only order take out occasionally, the service is not good....

From the service to the food and from the prices to the quality. I found KenKou to be excellent. I have found a new restaurant that I will visit often.

My husband and I have been going to Kenkou for over a year. The owner and chef worked at Benihanna for 20 years as chef and the food is spot on, right down to their homemade ginger dressing, garlic chicken fried rice. Where in S. Fla. can you get a Hibachi Chicken dinner which includes salad, garlic fried rice, stir fry vegetables for $7.50??? He cooks behind a counter, not tableside, but you can watch him cook if you want. They have sushi, tempura, hibachi dinners..everything is delicious. We were there again just last night and my husband had filet mignon and scallops hibachi. Excellent. Not to mention the husband (chef) and wife owners are the most happy and personable people I've ever met. Mrs. "Kenkou" makes you feel like family, greets you warmly when you arrive and is so happy to serve and please you. It's a very small place (maybe 6 tables), family friendly, and they serve beer, wine and saki of course!

I'm from Japan, and it is very hard to find a good japanese restaurant. This one is excellent!
