It all sounded very good. Busy people with busy careers meeting other busy people with good jobs, happy lives but with little time to socialize. There's a reason why there is no "free trial" period. If there was, no one would sign up. They charged $1300 for a year to email you a list of events that they planned and emailed to a group of others who signed up. Most of the events, 90% were lame. Most started at 6:30 or 7:30 PM unless it was a daytime weekend event. The events like, Martini Making, $25 per person, meant going to some dive bar in Hollywood and listening to some old beat up bar hag about making a flavored martini. That was your "event." You could buy a drink, but nothing was included. Other events, meet at the Hard Rock, save the $5 cover charge if you're there before 8 PM. And now for the real sad truth: the members were not busy professionals with good jobs, they were, for the most part (not all but by far most) losers who were either very shy and / or not very attractive and/or drooled. Sorry, but that's the truth. I am outgoing, I would introduce myself to people and I think I scared them. Wasn't this the point? To meet people, be friendly and have fun? I looked and looked and I never saw one girl that I thought was pretty like the girls in the "normal" world.
One other remarkable thing that I noticed was that, in general, the members were cheap-skates. "What's included, what's free, is that extra, how come I have to pay,...etc...etc." I went out to dinner with a few people from the group in the beginning. We went to a happy hour at a nice place in Fort Lauderdale and ordered drinks and appetizers. When the bill came, everyone backed away, "I didn't eat any of those, I didn't order that, I didn't,...I shouldn't have to pay,....ee gads." It's was no wonder why no one likes you. I paid the bill I was embarrassed for them. So after day one, I knew this was a rip off. I tried to make it work, but the lame members and the lame events made it more trouble than fun. I stopped participating completely with in two months, I realized it wasn't going to get better. So,..my opinion, if you're half way attractive, smart, funny, not a cheap-skate and you don't mind talking to people, avoid this "group", it's a nerd convention.
