Kwik Kar Lube & Tune - Flower Mound

Very disappointing experience. Went to get an oil change and tire rotation. Thought the total price would be $49, but was also charged an additional $20 for a tire rotation. I can go to the dealership and pay $39 for oil change and tire rotation. Had I realized that the tire rotation would have been another $20, I would have left. Unfortunately, I stayed. I asked about price matching but was refused a lower price. I did have a five dollar coupon. When I got my car back, the tires had not been properly bolted on. Luckily, I drove my car into a parking lot before going onto the main road. Bolts on both driver's side tires were loose. Managed to get car back to their building and they secured the bolts. Owner drove car to make sure it was driving ok. I asked for them to match the price of the oil change at the dealership to make up for the lack of safety on their part. The owner would only agree to take off the $20 for the tire rotation. He said he pays more for oil and cannot negotiate this (I forgot to mention I also had a transmission flush done too). He never apologized to me or spoke to me about the tire rotation issue, only just told me he would not match the cost of the dealership. I did remind them this was cheaper than what they would have paid had my tires fallen off while I was driving. The manager, Norm, who was polite, added $5 to my coupon to match the cost of the dealership price and apologized for the poor work on their part. This was the only positive experience I had. I did have to wait in line about 10-15 minutes while other people were checked out before I could get my credit back and when I finally got to my car, I find my car running with the keys in it because the owner left it in front of the building without turning it off. We all make mistakes, but this was a cluster of issues and I will never return to this location. Very poor ownership and safety standards. There should be checks in place to assure that cars are properly handled and clearly this location does not put safety first.
