Worst place to live. Overpriced. Management changes every 4 months and repairs never get done at all. All the reviews below sums it all up.

STAY AWAY, PLEASE!

I must be COMPLETELY HONEST! I lived at the Villages of Wildwood for two years & it was a complete nightmare. This place caused me so much anxiety & depression, because I worked full time & went to school full time & after a long day, I would have to come home to issues with my apartment. My apartment, when I first moved in, had not been clean & there were spiderwebs every where. After notifying the office repeatedly, I just gave up, because I was so busy, & cleaned it myself. Then, I noticed my refrigerator had mold all throughout it. I mean, a liquid had seeped down into the bottom of the refrigerator & mold was all over the bottom. So disgusting, it made me ill just looking at it. Eventually, after complaining, they gave me a new refrigerator. But, they left the old refrigerator in my walk way outside of my door, instead of taking it to the dumpster, for a week. This was just the beginning of my nightmare. I am not joking when I state that I cried many times coming home there. There were many nights that my pipes froze & after a 16 hour day, I would come home & not be able to use my toilet. To top it off, my heating unit did not work properly & I complained about this for two years. After calling Duke Energy & having them do testing on their side & telling me that they weren't the cause of my extremely high bills, I contacted Villages of Wildwood. They never fixed my problem. It had gotten so bad, that Duke Energy called the complex, on my behalf, to explain to them, that they had never had a person living in my apartment building that had a electric bill over $70. My bill, every month, was $150-$170. Mind you, I was the only one living in my apartment & usually was gone 16 hours a day. The complex still didn't help. I ended up staying away from my apartment for a month, only going there to collect my mail, & my electric bill was still $130. Finally, I approached my neighbors & spoke to them about my Duke Energy bill & they were nice in letting me know what their monthly bills were. My neighbor's bill was $60. Mind you, I had not stayed at my place for a month, but my neighbor did, & my bill was double hers. My bill was also almost double my other neighbors & they had multiple people living there. I must admit, it was so bad, that Duke Energy constantly got involved in my situation & even told the manager that it was obvious that I was not staying at my place, by the amount of kilowatts that were being used & that my bill was insanely high & not my fault. They stated, that they took the difference in kilowatts used when I was living there & not living there for a month, & determined my bill should have been around $40. The Villages of Wildwood did nothing, blamed me, & didn't care. I was distraught. I was your typical broke college student living paycheck to paycheck & now had to borrow money from people to pay my Duke Energy bills every month. I know, I am out of a couple thousand dollars because of this. I tried to get out of my lease early on, but they told me that I was not able to & that if I did, it would go against my renter's credit & that I would be sued. This is only half of the problems that I exoerienced, from a bathtub that needed to be fixed & when it was, there was that white finisher stuff that you use when installing a bathtub, all over my bathroom floor & it couldn't be removed; my bathtub, after being fixed, started to leak through the floor & into my kitchen. I had to get rid of all of my food & it took them a while to fix it. Once again, when they repaired the damage to my ceiling, they left white paint on the counters & floors & it couldn't be removed. So, after experiencing all of this & more & having the maintenance never fixing or doing what they said they would do & also having the management never helping me or caring, I had enough. COTINUED...

I pretty much agree with all ...

I pretty much agree with all the other reviews warning people against this place. They will pressure you into a crap deal where you end up paying a lot more than you think. Shady business practices and overall a dump. Once you get in and you realize that either nothing works or breaks down after the first week of being there, you'll begin looking at options of getting out. But part of their shady practice is there is "no lease break policy". Are you kidding me? How shady is that? You're forced to stay in a over priced bug infested dump with unsafe or non working appliances? Maintenance staff is slow and incompetent. As a renter for many years this place has ruined renting for me. I will never, ever rent again. If I am forced into such a position I will definitely hire an attorney and inspector beforehand. Stay away, you will regret coming here!

If you want to PAY to actually...

If you want to PAY to actually live in a section 8 Hud housing environment this is the place for you!!! TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT! They will of course be nice and cordial to you in order to get you to sign a lease, but once you sign you are screwed. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! They do not keep up their end of the lease when it comes to maintenance and making sure you feel safe as a tenant. They just shrug their shoulders and say "oh well". No help from the parent company either!
