The Juvenile Probation Department of El Paso County, Texas helps to protect and provide public safety and family-focused services, including treatment, training and rehabilitation. The department recognizes the legal rights of juveniles and parents. It judicially processes juvenile referrals between the ages of 10 and 16 who are referred by law enforcement and other agencies for alleged delinquent conduct. The Juvenile Probation Department s detention facility offers temporary care for juvenile s pending court hearings. The department s intervention programs of probation services supervise juveniles who are released to the community and those who are temporarily removed from their homes and later reintegrated into the community.
