United Sleep Centers

I was looking for a Sleep Apnea Center that was near Lakewood, California and I found United Sleep Centers in Downey. My doctor suggested I needed a sleep study at this sleep center. They called me to setup an appointment Monday thru Sunday since they are opening 7 days a week. Check in time is between 8:30 PM, 9:30 and 10:30 PM. I choose 10:30 PM, and I was told I would be done and ready to go home before 6:30 AM the next day. I was a little nervous about the sleep study because I didn't know what to expect. The woman on the phone explained to me in detail the procedure. This isn't surgery so nothing is put inside you. All they do is placed these electrodes on your body with gauze & a small amount of EEG paste and some small medical tape to hold things in place. They said to wear comfortable PJ's so that is what I wore for my study. The rooms are nice, the one I stayed in had a nice clean bed, night stand with lamp and a TV with cable. In the morning when the test was done the technicians woke me up that the sleep test was complete and I had the option to leave or stay for the rest of the night until 6:30 PM. That was it, easy and no pain. All the people at United Sleep Centers were professional and kind.

I was called by one of the customer service ladies for an appointment. They explained what to expect and answered all my questions. I needed to go in for a sleep study to help diagnose if I have a sleeping disorder. They explained how I have my own private room and to wear comfortable clothing for the test. The technicians were great, very helpful and understanding. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have a sleep study done. They even told me kids have had this study done, that made me feel at ease. You can see a photo I took of my room.
