We hired an unlicensed contractor and United heating and cooling came out and fixed everything. They are the best.

This company is a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and do business elsewhere.

I had an air conditioning system installed and one month after the labor warranty expired, they said I needed a new motor. I would be responsible for the $1000+ labor. This was two months after they installed a water heater that we have had nothing but problems with and that United has been reluctant to make timely service calls to fix. They can't seem to get it right after three long wait time visits.

Regarding the air conditioning, it sounded fishy so I contacted another contractor who came out (quickly, unlike United) and said the motor was fine and did not need replacement. The system had to be reset and it worked just fine. Why couldn't United diagnose this? Guess they wanted to falsify and gouge a customer for labor.

Never again. The United staff and technicians are out for themselves and liars.

The other reviews must be talking about the other United Heating and Cooling because these guys on 8 Mile bent over backwards for me. They are all well groomed, use tarps, very polite and the owner give me top of the line equipment and the best value. The City Inspector said I got an excellent job.

Very overpriced. United was more than double every other company quoted. I got the same from another company at half the price. No thanks United.

Buyer beware with United. I quoted 4 local companies for a new furnace. United was disgustingly high priced compared to all others. They were about about 50% higher than two companies quoted and 40% higher than the third one. This was for the identical brand and model furnace. They are ripping off customers. The United rep had an arrogant attitude when I objected to the quoted price saying they have to make profit. Get quotes from multiple companies and beware of United massively overcharging.
