Frog Holler Paintball Field

-I decided to visit this field with a few friends (the best way to play) fairly early in the morning.



-MAPS-

Since it was early in the morning, it was also wet. One thing I can definitely say about playing here is that you need to stock up on the bug spray. The first field we played on had knee high grass; a major chigger haven. The 'maps' here were more nature infused than others I've been to in the past which had more controlled environments. This wasn't necessarily a problem, but be forewarned you'll be playing right in the grass, sand, trees, and bushes. Thankfully, the staff provides bug spray for you.



-STAFF-

I was very pleased with how attentive the staff actually was; they essentially provided everything I needed. I wasn't really used to being waited on like this, but it was a nice change from the 'fend for yourself' attitude other fields adopt. As soon as we arrived, we were being taken care of. From having our tanks filled at a moments notice, to the friendly guy at the chrono station who basically did all the adjustments for me, it was a pleasant experience. The field is definitely well staffed; there were red shirts everywhere...although on the field, this was kind of an annoyance (they would walk right in the middle of crossfire on the field).



-CROWD-

-There was quite a diverse crowd of players here, ranging from 'serious' players decked out in jerseys/military uniforms to young middle school girls in shorts. We had the unfortunate experience of getting matched against more experienced players that communicated well (instead of the easier booty short prey).



I would recommend this field for sure if you're just starting out, or you're a veteran who wants to be spoiled.
