Thompson And Son Moving And Storage

I was hired by thompson and son to help out for a day. So to the folks who say they are inexperienced, you are absolutely correct. I didn't and still don't know anything but the bare minimum about moving.
My real beef comes when it was time to get paid. I left the office in boca at 1230, arrived at our destination in homestead around 230, moved this guys stuff into the truck tha drive to his new apartment in Hollywood. Arriving in hollywood at 5, and unloading we were finished by 6. We got back to the boca office around 630-7. So in the 7-7.5 hours I was out with then I got paid for all of 3. The kicker is, their payroll check bounced and they have not refunded me the money. A 30 dollar check bounced and they wont pay. I card labor department and a few other authorities to no avail. Than they sent me a w-2 form. Ha.

i saw bad reviews for this company glad i did not dwell on it. i took a chance and this is the best moving company i ever used and i moved every year. they give me a military discount for using their company that really makes me feel good for getting something back for serving my country. Thompson & sons you are the best

These guys were very professional, they arrived on time , very polite and most important they handled my belongings with care. I would therefore recommend them to anyone who is seeking a great moving company

This company is a joke. I would give 0 stars with it would let me. I got a quote and they informed me that they would pack everything up and take it to the new location. They informed me that I could cancel at any time and get my deposit back. Well I got my quote and in the fine print I had 48 hours to cancel. And the quote was not what we agreed on. Well they answered once and told them to cancel with in less the 24 hours. And they wouldn't do it. I sent numerous emails and voice-mail with no return calls and when they did finally call me after a week of trying to get a hold of them. They still did not cancel and just adjusted the quote. I have been calling over and over again since and finally picked up today. Well he states that he will not refund me despite my other emails and phone calls and told me that he would cancel in a very rude attitude. I asked to speak to the manager that I dealt with and he was on vacation which is fine so I asked for another manager and he stated that no one was there that I could speak to. Sam was very rude and proceed to argue with me and at the end told me he was not speaking English and hung up on me. I would never recommend this company. After I have tried calling back they have not answered me again despite more emails and voice messages. Very disappointed.

Terrible experience. They ruined all my furniture. I do not recommend. I saw the movers even kicking my boxes. Please do not hire this company

I hired these thugs to move me. They quoted a great price but that's where the great ends. The building I am moving to requires a Certifiate of Insurance. The horror show trying to get the certificate was insane. I requested that the contact the building to make sure the certificate is correct. The person I spoke to, Shaun Thompson refused and said that he's not "doing my legwork". I got them the correct information (took a whole 2 minutes on the phone with the building) and they still did not get the Certificate to the building on time, which meant I could not move. They had 3 weeks to get this done! I had to hire a last minute moving company and now will sue Thompson for the difference in price that I had to pay. Do not use these people, even if they were the last movers on earth. You'd be better off buying camels and strapping your furniture to them to move. Where is the zero star option?

After I received my initial quote, I received an email to electronically sign the agreement which I never did sign. I did put down a $50 deposit. I decided to cancel the reservation because my friends decided to help me out. I received a phone call from Shawn. I explain my reason and he was very negative towards me stating that I will not get my deposit back because the "truck has been reserved." No where on the agreement did they say they could not refund my money back. It stated that if I canceled before 7 day of notice there would be no penalty. I told Shawn that I will accept the $50 loss since I felt that this company was already bullying me and being dishonest. Who knows what else they will do. DO NOT USE this company. Horrible customer service and very dishonest business practices.

Really really love this company my experience was amazing the guys were super nice storng and respectful will be using them to move my parents and I'm requesting William he's amazing.

This company is a train wreck - unprofessional - Very late to arrive, unexperienced, and will no longer respond to attempted communications. I have already filed complaints with the BBB and was finally told to "Call my attorney" after a 18 hour move and me missing work (it should have taken 3 hours tops)

CRIMINAL MINDS ARE RUNNING THIS "COMPANY".

We were contacted by this company as a result of an inquiry on Orbitz Moving website.

Tried to cancel contract and recoup our deposit because of suspected fraudulent practices due to scathingly negative reviews we read, unfortunately after signing and sending deposit. We were stonewalled by the owner "Shawn" if that is his real name. He flatly refused to refund our money even though we have a signed contract and are within the window of opportunity. He told us he is not afraid of the Better Business Bureau and they could not touch him.

We were also told by the agent who created our contract, "Lincoln" that their parent company is Continental Van Lines. We contacted Continental. It is not true.

If you have any sense you will not give your business to this shiester outfit.

Awful awful awedul. Just don't deal with them. I repeat, don't tell them. They won't tell you exactly how much it will cost. They will surprise you with the final amount of their services AFTER they move your stuff. It will not be the same quote that they have given you. They charged me double what it was and they didn't tell me what the reason is. The movers are OK but the representatives are just worst people on Earth including the owner himself.

I just feel like to thank Thompson and sons for making my move so easy and special guys were very professional Very smart they knew exactly what to do I am very happy with this company and I will recommend to any friends or family experience was absolutely amazing

This company did not fasten anything to the walls of the truck, nor did they pad the furniture. They severely damaged my furniture including a big screen TV during the move. THEY TRIED TO GET ME TO PAY THE BALANCE IN CASH BEFORE UNLOADING THE DAMAGED FURNITURE SO I WOULDN'T SEE IT.

I have submitted a claim form over a month ago and they still haven't responded, although the agreement says they will be handled within 30 days. The owner/claims manager, MARCENE, has not been available to speak with me, though my countless attempts. I was informed that she has another full-time job so is very busy and no one else can help. They do not respond to my follow-up emails either. I was recently informed that she was busy opening a new branch in Orlando for 1 month, before handling the open matters they had with current clients. The only departments you can speak with are the sales and scheduling departments. I HOPE THIS REVIEW CAN SAVE SOMEONE ELSE FROM HAVING THEIR FURNITURE DESTROYED.

Amazing! Much less money than competition. Ran a little late but called so it was fine. Made the move so easy! Will definitely use and again and definitely recommend!!

I never knew that in addition to punctuality and a physical strength, you got to have a brain to work in the moving. Christopher and the gang have taugnt me that. I a a verrrrryyyyy picky customer but today's move was impeccable. On time, quck, corteous, and all the other good stuff. Totally hassle free and HIGHLY recoommended.

We were pleased with our experience with supervisor Marcus and the team he works with. The guys could not be more pleasant and attentive. It was their intent to make this a positive experience and despite the stress of moving they did it!

We requested for a last minute move and they were able to accommodate our move.

They r very professional. They properly wrapped everything... I talked to the supervisor Markus, really nice guy and helped us with the move properly.

This was truly a great experience. Vince, Nathan and Billy were experienced, pleasant and worked together as a fine tuned machine. They were all cordial, friendly, and very helpful. It made a day that I was dreading into something pleasant and easy. They deserve an extra star for expertise and professionalism. Highly recommend their services.

Great. Very professional. Even though I did not have furniture to move, they moved several boxes and very quickly. I would recommend to my family & friends.

My first contact was with someone name Shawn who made all the arrangements for me. From the first phone call he and everyone that I've dealt with was polite, friendly and a pleasure to work with. The guys were very careful and proficient. The move was completed on time. They were the best movers I have ever had because these guys were courteous, considerate, organized and friendly. They made me feel relaxed and at ease with the way they conducted the move. They definitely worked hard and I would recommend Thompson and Sons to anyone.
