The Department of Information Systems works under the government of DeKalb County, Ga. It works to provide convenient access to county services and information with the latest information technology. The Department also provides centralized help desk functions, problem resolution, program enhancement, procurement assistance and standardization services. The Department of Information Systems provides technical direction in the integration of varied new and existing information technologies. It undertakes technology design, project implementation, data networks and support activities for county business systems. Located in Decatur, Ga., the department maintains an operations division that is tasked to provide day-to-day information technology support for the employees of the county government.
