Due to COVID you have to wait in your vehicle while staff takes your pet inside but I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I had just adopted a kitten from the Halifax Human Society (buyer beware) and a few days later this poor kitten was sneezing about 15 times in a row and I know that they need their sleep at this age but he was so sick that he was super lethargic and slept all day and night. I took him to Driftwood Animal Hospital mainly because of the location to my home and they had a same day appointment available. My new pet was extremely sick with a severe upper respiratory infection and an ear infection. The staff told me over the phone that they had been seeing a lot of sick animals from the Halifax Humane Society. The staff was very friendly and professional and the vet prescribed him an antibiotic, ear drops and something to help with his immune system. I’m going to be taking him there from now on and I didn’t have to pay an arm and a leg either. The wait wasn’t very long and there was about five other cars with their pets. Everything was explained thoroughly to me about how to give the medicine and after only two days he was playing and getting into everything like a normal kitten. Thank you so much for everything!

My cat was hit by a car. His jaw was broken and his eye practically popping out of his head. I couldn't bear to lose him, and I was afraid i wouldn't be able to afford anything but euthanasia. Fortunately, I found Driftwood in the yellow pages. It was a Saturday, and not only were they open, but they told me to come right in. They were so compassionate! They were able to help us, and I was stunned that it wasn't more expensive. At other "Animal ER's, they charge twice as much for some tests!
They truly seem to care about helping their patients rather than fleecing you. I won't take my babies anywhere else!
I am forever grateful to them for saving my cat! He lost an eye, but he's even more adorable than before, and his jaw is perfectly fine!

I have been taking my cat here since he first wandered into my life, and he has always had top-notch care. The staff is gentle, kind and thoroughly competent. Dr. Gary is the vet I see most often, but the others are also great! And while I hate to mention money, they always make it very clear how much the treatment will cost; more than once, it's ended up being considerably less than I expected. I have recommended them to many of my friends.

i'm new in DB and my cat has been having major itching issues (can't find fleas, was suggested by Shamrock Foundation in KY that she might have gotten bitten by a lizard (gecko?). The lady who answered the phone made some suggestions that I'll use, but she was very very nice and i will use this vet in the future :)
