Southern Area Behavioral Healthcare

Let me tell you.. This is the worst clinic I have ever been too! I heard so many bad stories about how parkland hospital. That it's so packed an they take so long! Well as of 02/06/2013

I can hosestly say... yes they may be packed.. But they also are known to have some of the best Dr....They treat everyone the same an have a wonderful system. An keep in mind they see so many patients. This SOUTHERN AREA BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE ... STAY AWAY! The clinic opens at 4pm an closes at 9pm So you must be there by 1:00 or 2:00 .. They only take 10 patients during that time. The receptionist just looks at you and says.. Oh I saw your car in parking lot. So she just says. Oh ur number 1 your number 2 and forgets what number everyone has. There is no sign in sheet nothing. I was there from 3:28pm till 12 am. I was # 10 but got moved to #9 because #10 was outside smoking an talking with another patient. She then asked me to come up an moved me to #9. #10 comes back in after 1:00 hr. of talking so they move me back to #10. By this time it had been 6hrs an keep in mind they only see 10 patients. I called complained to the hotline. while i was there. after 8hrs. I get called back buy DINAH TURNER-KNIGHT / RN .. she said the Dr was not seeing me and that i had an allergic reaction to a medicine. Well I then asked where are all my medical records they sent over . She said i don't know. I called the crisis line! That was my first time calling them . they asked to talk with the RN.. she started rolling her head and saying NONONO! I WELL NOT GET ON THE phone . You need to leave. The adapt crisis line was trying to talk with her an tell her why they sent me there. and she was yelling and all they were trying to do is tell her why I was there an if she needed my medical stuff resent. I said can i please ask the Doctor one question. Nope! I asked again she said nope. ADAPT asked an she said nope! I said ok thanks and have a wonderful night. So 12 midnight i am walking out the door. An with out seeing the doctor and i still had to drive back to garland. Its people like this that really should not be in the medical field.
