HI All! I felt the need to write in as I have had a TERRIBLE experience with Preston TV and Video. I have never taken the time to write a review before in all my years, but this experience was so bad I felt I needed to warn everyone so your time is not wasted!



I called to schedule a Home Theater install consultation and was told the service providers would arrive between 1 and 3 pm today. I called to confirm this morning and was told they would be coming for sure, and verified that if they were not going to be able to meet the allotted time slot that they would call to let me know. I have now spent the past two hours on my couch waiting, and at 3pm called to ask what the status was...they informed me they were no longer going to be able to make it. I said, OK, are you not going to apologize? I have been sitting at my house for two hours waiting and you have had my phone number the entire time. The man was like "sorry". I informed him (politely) that this was terrible customer service and he said that he would be happy to cancel the entire thing if I would like. I was literally shocked at how flippant/ambivalent he was! I would not recommend working with Preston TV and Video. I have now wasted an entire afternoon, and then been treated poorly afterwards! I suggest steering clear!

I Finally found an in home service company that did not rip me off. My total bill was exactly what they quoted me on the phone. I needed my antenna repaired due to my digital channels freezing; I was quoted on the phone for a service call but half expected to have them tell me i needed a new antenna when they arrived. They came to my house and replaced the wire from my antenna and the total bill was just for the service call.

What a disappointment. Horrible service and complete incompetence even though I dealt with the owner of 48 years, David.



This company pulled off one of the oldest electronics-repair scams in existence. Take receipt of the unit, put it on a shelf and do nothing with it until the customer badgers you for pick-up, then charge them $50.60. Rinse, repeat, wash. I now understand why the vast majority of consumers believe that when a piece of consumer electronics such as a VCR needs repair, you simply throw it away and replace it with a new one.



My guess is they are mainly in business to sell Home Theater systems to well-healed residents of the Preston/Forest area. BEWARE. Even though their web site emphasizes their "electronic repair" expertise, IMHO this is a scam. Stay far away from this company.
