Geraldine Sherry Huey You, MD

I wouldn't say she is a great psychiatrist, but she is definitely up to the task. Her wait times are a bit long, but that is because she provides personalized attention to each patient which means she runs over on time causing her to be late. She does listen to her patients and talks to them like human beings and not cattle.

I find Dr. Huey to be spunky, energetic, and humorous. She does a complete first time mental health assessment and explains why she is prescribing a particular medicine. Yes, there is always a wait so I now get there late. Problem solved!



So few psychiatrists take insurance anymore, that I am sure this factors in to the wait time as she probably must see more people to make her office profitable.



If you need a Dr. that accepts insurance, is spunky, and prescribes the right medicine, then call Dr. Huey.

Poor, rude, atrocious behavior towards patients. I was sick and waited well over an hour. She came to me complaining loudly that she was working as fast as she could and there was nothing she could do. She never apologized--she came at me with an aggressive demeanor. I was stunned. I have never experienced this kind of behavior from a doctor. If her actions are reflective of her bed-side manner then I am grateful to not be her patient.
