Delicate Moving

I had a horrible experience with this company. The movers were slow, claimed that I had bedbugs when all it was was a little beetle that you see anywhere outside, they complained about how long it was taking and even told me that the owner called me a liar about offering a three man crew for the move instead of a two man crew. I have a one bedroom apartment on the third floor and we moved from Lewisville to Aubrey which is about a 35 minute drive. Everything was already carefully packed, they didn't have to take apart any furniture as we had already done it all and the move ended up taking 8 hours to complete and cost us over $750.00. When we called the owner to complain he responded by claiming to have never talked to his movers all day, that even with a three man crew it would have taken the same amount of time and even if it didn't, it would still cost about the same amount (which makes no sense) and then demanded that we sign a piece of paper agreeing to not complain about the company anywhere online or anywhere else if he offered us a $125 check back for what he considered to be a reasonable settlement to keep us quiet. He was rude, disrespectful, and only made the situation worse. We supplied the drinks for his movers, we paid for their lunch, etc to keep them moving quickly and we still ended up with an 8 hour move that cost almost $800. Our experience was horrible. The last time I moved it took 4 hours from a 3rd floor to a 3rd floor in the heat of August and only cost us around $370 total including tips. This was the worst experience ever and the owner, James, is truly the face of this business. Avoid them if at all possible!!!! Unprofessional and disgraceful.

Truly unprofessional movers trained in all the tricks to delay their job. It took us 2 hours to move 0 miles from a 1 bedroom to 1 bedroom with study apartment last time, with other movers, including bed reassembly. With only addition of 1 bed, 2 cribs. 2 bookshelves and 1 changing table your guys took 8 hours to move 1 mile, without bed reassembly . This is really obnoxious. Even with boxes packed and stacked, they would just unstack them one by one to load onto dolly or carry one box at a time. That doesn't mean it's a delicate move - they broke my dresser's leg and no apologies or compensation for it.

This company is awesome. Very fast and you can't beat the cost. I tried several and they were the lowest. I will recommend them to all my friends.

I totally underestimated the amount of crap these guys needed to move to my new place, and they were very professional and nice about it. The two men arrived on time and got the job done as quickly as could be expected, given my egregious error in estimation.



The movers did damage my headboard (chipped the paint because it wasn't wrapped in a blanket) and my patio umbrella no longer opens, but these are somewhat small problems. Overall, I was pleased with the move.

Absolute WORST move I've ever had. The movers showed up an hour after their scheduled window, and then took 7 1/2 hours to move me, (I only have a 1 bedroom apt) lasting until 11:30pm; that should have only taken a MAX of 5 hrs. They were both nice, but one of the movers was super lazy or tired, which slowed down the entire process. I even had to help one of the guys pack my items, as he was moving at a snail's pace. In the time it took the good mover to take a part my bed, the other guy spent down stairs at the truck "getting more blankets," and then realized he didn't bring enough up and had to go back for more. I even watched him out my window another time, smoking and checking his phone for 15 minutes. I literally just moved 4 months ago, which took the last set of 2 movers, no more than 4 hours to pack, load, and unload; that took Delicate Moving 7 1/2 hours to do. Being I paid by the hour, I am severely disappointed with the service I was given, and feel I COMPLETELY overpaid for the services I was rendered. Definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone. I feel bad in writing a bad review, as I never write them, but feel it would be a disservice for someone else to get the same treatment. :(

Best move I have ever had. They were on time, very courteous, and didn't make a single mark on the walls (something I considered impossible). I highly recommend them to anyone moving in the Metroplex area.

Great Moving experience! The team got there between my window of 8-10am. The move was smooth the team was very nice and took great care of my belongings. I will refer them to my family /friends. And I will use them again in 12 months for my next move. Angela

One of the best moving services I've used (out of 4 in the DFW area)! They arrived in the window of time they promised and the gentlemen that helped me were very courteous and respectful. Coming from a person who is a total control freak and can be very bossy in stressful situations, these men handled my personality well and did whatever I asked. I moved all my stuff to a storage unit and was afraid it wouldn't all fit. The way they stacked and stored my belongings allowed me to only use one storage unit instead of having to purchase a second one. They were amazing! I will definitely use them again!

This was my most pleasurable moving experience from the first phone call. Genie in the office was understanding about my situation and made me feel at ease. She scheduled for James to come out to the home to give me an estimate. When James came to the house he was polite and very knowledgeable. He reassured me that this was a worst case estimate and if they went over time I would not be billed for the additional amount. On the day of moving the gentlemen showed up and immediately went to work. They were a great group of guys that obviously worked well as a team and didnt mind me getting in the middle to help. At the end of the move they thanked me for my business and made sure that NOTHING was damaged. This is by far the best moving company I have ever dealt with and I have moved a lot over the last 20years! Thank you Delicate Moving for actually doing as you said!

I was referred to this moving company by a close friend whom I trust. He was completely correct in speaking of the professionalism and the care taken with my belongings. I would definitely recommend this company to my family, friends, and real estate clients. Every piece of furniture was wrapped in pads and then the pads were wrapped in plastic. They were cost effective and efficient.

Great move with delicate moving. As a single female, I felt very comforable having them in my home. The were quick, careful and effiecient. They managed to move me almost 50 miles in 3 hours. Both Ray and his partner were extremely professional and a joy to work with. The only hiccup was that they arrived at the very end up my 2 hour time frame, but they called and were very apollogetic about this. I would absolutley reccomend them to anyone looking for reliable, afforadable and professional movers.

The workers arrived on time, disassembled and reassembled my heavy furniture pieces with the most care.

They were professional and seemed happy at what they were doing.

The staff at Delicate Moving were really nice, professional and helpful. I had a move scheduled and then had to reschedule the move to another day b/c the apartment was ready when it was supposed to be. When I called in to reschedule it Genie was really understanding and helpful with changing my move to another day of the weekend. The movers that showed up were really nice and professional also. They were careful with my things and made sure that they were packed securely in the truck so that they wouldn't break or be damaged. I'm very pleased with the job they did. My brother was pleased with the service of the movers as well. I will use them again.

They had some trouble getting to my place on time which was totally reasonable based on some jobs earlier in the day. Throughout the day they kept close contact to keep me informed about the situation. When they weren't able to drop a team member off in time to bring me the two member team I was quoted, they gave me a killer deal on a three man team. They were professional, friendly and FAST! I'd recommend them to anybody in the area. Nothing was damaged, the workers all seemed to be great guys, and after a long day of hard work they still got my job done in no time flat. Thanks!

I found the company from Internet search, when I called the new employee was unable to give me a quote over the phone but the owner called back promptly to provide more info. The movers were professional and careful. The service was prompt and reliable. My only suggestion to the driver is to go by the customer's routing preference instead of following GPS.
