Smith Muffler is a great place to have your vehicle serviced!! I drive a 1999 Toyota 4Runner with 311,096 miles and thanks to the great folks at Smith Muffler my truck is running great and driven daily!!

Great shop that has been doing business here for several decades. Very customer friendly...parts in stock...they give you options as to the level of repairs. This shop is clean and very well organized, which says a lot! Highly recommend

I have been going to Smith Muffler since 2006. They are professional, accurate and keep you posted on all car expenses.

There are two things I really like. First, you bring your car in the morning, and they will tell you to wait, return at the end of the day or wait for a phone call. They have never been wrong! Second, they handle my stress well. Two years ago, my 91 Honda Civic was only using 2 cylinders. I didn't believe them. They were kind and patient with me and insisted on running the test with me watching. When I was still a bit overwhelmed about what to do, they talked with my brother (a car mechanic).

In addition, they will give you a ride to a car rental place if you need it OR you can walk the 1/2 mile to the TANK transit station on Madison.

I have been going to this place to service the underside of my autos for almost 30 years. Lew Smith's never has given me a bum deal and I have to say that I must have been there at least 12 times in this time period with different cars. From muffler to suspension work, they always have me in and out in about 1-2+ hours. I try to stop by before lunch time, and then walk to one of the area eaterys to kill some time.
Their prices can't be beat, and the one time I had to come back with a problem, they fixed it pronto. They will not try to over-sell anything, BUT the mechanic will take you out to the shop floor to have a look at things that might be a problem, that you maybe didn't know about. I always appreciate being shown a problem. You then are asked if you want to take care of it then, or not... your choice. I have been given alternatives when this happens.
They have so many bays in the building that there is rarely much wait time... maybe 20-30 minutes before getting you into a bay to check out the problem you came for.
I send all my friends there and would not go anywhere else with my autos. HIghly recommended

I had recently gotten my oil changed at a national chain (it rhymes with schmalvoline) and my check engine light had come on. I thought it was strange so we took it back and they said they didn't know what the issue was. I took it to Smiths and told them the situation. They seemed to know right away what the problem could be. Turns out they were right, the chain store put the air intake hose on backwards and it wasn't even connected to the engine. They were able to fix it in under 10 minutes and didn't charge me anything. They even were able to tell me the cause of another problem I have with my vehicle. They seem smart, knowledgeable, friendly and honest. Can't ask for more from a service shop. I will be taking my vehicle to Smiths for oil changes, repairs, and anything else for my vehicles. Very impressive operation. Quick, affordable, honest and straight forward family business. In and out in a couple hours is typical with their 18 garage bays. Pricing was straightforward, offered options to fit my budget and the aged nature of my lil corolla.

I will definately reccomend to my friends. If you work downtown Cincy and use another mechanic you'll wanna give these guys a chance to earn your bidness.

See Todd, Mike or Alan and tell'em I sent you for fast quality service on more than mufflers. they have a ton of garage bays so they can seemingly get you right. The service counter can be a bit intimidating when you walk up with staff on the phone, printing service orders and talking to customers describing the rattle that occurs when they hit the brakes on a hill but they WILL get to you and all those fears will fade away. The chandeliers in the garages are unique and worth asking about...

I'm constantly trying to find a mechanic that won't completely take advantage of me. I'm not completely sure that Smith has lived up to my expectations but they have been pretty consistent with service and I've been going there for years. I've had them work on brakes, exhaust and have almost exclusively been getting my oil changed there. Drop your car off early in the morning and they will have an estimate to you in several hours. Work can often be completed on the same day. When I was working downtown they offered drop off and pick up to my job which helped my maintain my transportation.

These guys are the best! I have taken my car here a handful of times for different reasons, and I have never felt overcharged, cheated, or helpless. They really keep you in the loop throughout the day through the diagnosis, cost estimate, and treatment. I needed a custom part for my car that was really hard to find and they were able to get it and install and get my car back to me all in the same day.

I had an exhaust pipe / Resonator pipe installed yesterday. After driving it home it started to make a rattle noise from the rear near the muffler. I took it back and they got me right in and found the issue and corrected it. The "Heat Shield " over the muffler area was bent down contacting the muffler and pipe they replaced. A very simple fix was done in just a few mins.

I have used these guys for everything through the years. They have 20 huge bays and are very fast, most jobs while you wait. I would highly recommend the Smith family for any and every car repair. They start at 8 and are first come first serve so get there early and enjoy a real business take care of you!

My car would not start and it was in a parking garage. I was unable to get a tow truck in or get a car close enough to jump start it. I called Smith Muffler to see if there was anything they could do. They immediately helped me out. The staff was friendly and the customer service was top notch. You just do not find places willing to go above and beyond anymore, but Smith Muffler did.

Quality work at a fair price. Routinue mainenance or emergancy repair, there is only one place I take my vehicle - Smith's. Friend said she always felt cheated at dealers because she is female. Sent her to Smith's and she is thrilled.

I have taken my car to Smith Muffler & Brake several times for routine maintenance as well as a few other more obscure repairs. They are a full-service garage and can take care of most any repair. They have always been timely and courteous and I've never felt as if I've been taken advantage of. They are very good about keeping you informed about the status, timeline, and cost of repairs; I've worked almost exclusively with Alan there, he is a very personable and knowledgeable individual and I feel as if their aim is to give you an honest repair at a reasonable price. Would recommend them to friends.

I've had several brake jobs and shocks installed on my work trucks for my business over the years and I've always gotten treated good and received quality workmanship from this business.

took them 4 hours to install a simple muffler system due to not having the parts in stock. On top of that, they ordered the wrong parts. Three months later I had to take the car back because the muffler system was dangling (was not properly clamped). another 1 1/2 hours. Too high priced.
