Seaside Memorial Park & Funeral Home

I gave a two star review to Seaside because of their lack of caring and professionalism after the funeral was over. We never received a courtesy call for the monument for our son after the funeral. We called the person who was expected to coordinate the funeral and the subsequent installation without success. They didn't return our calls. When we signed the contract, we were told, we had to pay within 24 hours in full the total cost of the funeral including the monument. We paid over 20k immediately including the cost for the construction and installation of the headstone. Two months later we went to Seaside and couldn't find the person in charge to explain for the delay to install the headstone. Finally, we got a call and were told the design has to be approved. We had selected the design for headstone on day one and couldn't believe, they had waited 2 months to get it signed and approved. It has been 4 months since the funeral of our son and the headstone is not ready yet. It seems, money was more important for Seaside than the pain of a family for the death of a love one.There is a lack of coordination and professionalism at Seaside. Anyone should check several funeral homes before signing with them and should demand for an explanation of the services and timing for completing the contract. If we had known about their lack of professionalism and fulfillment of our contract to build the monument,we would had never gone there, to bury our son.

The staff at Seaside Memorial Park and Funeral Home were exceptionally nice and kind in our time of need. They went above and beyond what we expected and needed.
