Lovett Dental

Had an appointment at 3 walked in at 245 waited 10 min. Before the clerk told me Dr Lykos went home at noon. She said she had to reschedule, at no point did she bother to look at me or say I am sorry for anything, my question is why I wasn't called. I have worked phone lines and in a buisness where we had to call if someone was late, sick. I used my last two hours of leave on a non-appointment that now I have to wait till June to get a crown put in. This is not a way to run any buisness.

My first visit to Lovett Dental proved to be a very good experience. Though I did have to wait close to an hour after my appointment time, the treatment I received made the wait seem insignificant. Dr. Tammy Lycos was both professional and friendly. She explained my problem in detail along with the treatment I needed. Rachael, dental hygienist who treated me was also professional and friendly and ensured that I experienced the least possible amount of pain during my treatment. I am that person who is afraid to go to the dentist, even at my age. After my experience at Lovett Dental, I am happy to say I am no longer "that person!" The front desk staff, as well as the techs I saw were all friendly and courteous and ensured that I was comfortable during my visit. While I waited for Dr. Lycos in the exam room, someone would come in (for whatever reason) and while there, would ask if I was comfortable and if I needed anything. Kudos to Lovett Dental's whole staff!

If you make an appointment expect to wait an hour, and be prepared to pay first and hope they perform the services for which you were charged. The dentist is great but the office is run poorly and professional behavior is not what you get here...

Stopped going there, had to reschedule the last 3 appointments due to the fact that THEY would call and cancel me saying they're not open that day , or that early....duhhhh, you gave me that appointment. !!!!....

Customer Service is out the Window! A few of the clerks up front and some in back are very nice, but the overall experience has left me greatly disappointed. They are charging patients fee's eventhough the services are covered 100% by insurance. When a refund is requested their policy is 4 to 6 weeks. They did not wait 4 to 6 weeks to get paid; why should I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for reimbursement? Especially for something I should have never been charged for in the first place. They are also over charging their patients. Our insurance company is contracted with them for a certain fee, but instead of Lovett writing it off like they are suppose to, they are charging it back to the patients. Please review your EOB's from your insurance company, because you might be due a refund.

Also, in dealing with the office manager; I would recommend she take classes on proper etiquette and dealing with the public. She was defensive, argumenative, rude and overall unprofessional. Instead of being confrontational she should try to look into the problem and offer a solution that is acceptable to all concerned. This attitude of not taking responsibility for errors or mistakes is typical of people who think they are better than others. Greatly disappointed in the Customer Service!

had a great experience .went there in lots of pain and they seen that and did everything they could to get me in and out . would recomend to anybody who needs any dental work.thanks lovett dental.

Terrible customer service. Amber at the front desk jst answered her cell phone in the middle of my conversation and walked off. I will never go back this place has good dentists but the service is horrible.

This place is pretty good I went there my self a couple months back and now i took my kids there and the staff and the dentist Mr.Gonzales were very knowledagle and explained everythign to me .. My children also had no complaints about this place. We will back and keep going there .. GOOD JOB MR GONZALES and his staff very friendly and helping

When I went in to make my appointment the staff was very friendly and it didn't matter that I did not have insurance like one reviewer said.

Lovett Dental actually heard my concerns and addressed them with care. Some companies do want to make their customers happy. At this point I am happy and pleased with the service I received today. Thank you to everyone there for hearing my concerns and being very professional about it.

I went to Lovett Dental bcause they accepted my insurance. I (like many people have a fear of dentistry). I had a few bad experiences living in different parts of the country- so when I had to see about a tooth ache, naturally I waited until I was up all night in agony- Lovett Dental in Corpus Christi removed my tooth ache AND my fear of dentistry. They were very professional and courteous from the minute I walked in the door. I waited, (newsflash- expect to wait in a medical office- An auto mechanic doesn't know what's wrong with your car until he looks under the hood- good work takes time, I appreciate that). I was x-rayed-diagnosed, and given an exact estimate based on work needed, less what my insurance would pay, itemized out, all before I left. This staff is excellent. Dr. Gonzalez talked through each step of the root canal, letting me know more than just to "open wide", he really explained what and why he was doing, down to the types of tools and medicines! I came in pain and left PAIN FREE!!!!!!!



This group is a model of professionalism, efficiancy, courteousness, and gentleness. In an industry that lacks most of these assets, I have no question that they will be growing and growing in the years to come.

Dr Gonzalez and his staff are very courteous, fast, and efficient. Delma is wonderful and has assisted me with my financial needs. I have never had to wait long for my appointment and have always recieved good guality care. I highly recommend it.

Lovett Dental is an awesome dental office. The whole staff was very friendly.

This place does not even deserve one star rating. It took 2.5 hours of wait time for a dentist to examine my teeth for 2 minutes after my scheduled appointment! Good thing i had half a day off from work! They rescheduled my appointment 3 times and it has been over 3 months since my exam ! They no longer have a hygienist and cancelled my appointment. Therefore cleaning date is to be determined. Simply ridiculous. I have never been to a dental place that waits 3 months or more after an exam to get a cleaning- makes you question their ethical medical practice. I feel as though if they realy cared about their patients' dental health, they would not treat patients this way. I will never go back. Don't waste your time and money. They will.charge your insurance for the exam and you won't get in for a cleaning, therefore your free exam for the year has been used up. What a scam! Let's see how long it'll take them to reschedule for a cleaning? Maybe within the next 6 months when a new exam is due?

Upon going there they were the only provider for my Humana insurance! I was a new patient, filled out the paperwork, waited 2 hrs til they brought me back there! Never has it taken that long for any dentist Ive first been to! They were very unorganized annd had more than enough ppl there to help. The staff was very rude, and discriminating! No, Im white, so was the staff! Race was not the issue! I finally went back there to get xrays which was quick, but waited another 45 min to see the doctor! It doesnt take xrays buta few min to develop. When I finally meet the dentist she claims I have Tmj, a dysfuctional Jaw, I was there for fillings, and a teeth cleaning, and an extraction! I Wait another 20 min to be told Im being referred to another dentist! One for The Tmj and the other for an extraction, fillings, cleaning etc! my insurence didnt cover where they referred me to! Upon calling my insurence they called them and were told they could clean my teeth and etc! Really? I go back and stay for another 25 min to talk to the consultant! noone was waiting! she was with a patient so I waited to speak with her.Then they tell me shes too busy she'll call me later! Wow what a waste of time! She never called back! I called coorporate!! These ppl have their heads shoved up their butts! Dont go there! worst experience ever!!! very very rude staff, and the wait is prolonged!!! Unprofessional staff, unorganized, and tmg doesnt keep any dentist from doin work on your teeth! A few wks ago I had a tooth extracted with no problem from another Lousy dental office Go Dentist! These two places are the worst!

My experience with the Dentist was great. I was very educated by the assistants and my treatment coordinator. My dentist Dr. Lykos was very informative from start to finish. I recommend anyone to go to this office. Ask all the questions when you go in. They will spend alot of time with you. That is what I liked the most.

They won't give you appointment unless they verify that your insurance will cover it. They did not call me to tell me that I needed to pay it with cash and I wasted a month waiting for a call back. When I called the clerk did not explained anything and when I asked specific questions the clerk became defensive.

I spent over two hours in their waiting room over a 2 day span and was never seen. They gave me a variety of excuses each day, but that is ridiculous. I understand getting backed up occasionally but I don't have time for that.
