Farmers Insurance - Jack Taylor

I took my father to this office , after my mom died and he wanted to cash in a policy he had taken out on me (his eldest daughter) when I was young. It had matured and the amount was considerable...we were told someone had cashed it in a long time ago and all my dad could have was $400 . Neither of us were aware of such a transaction so we requested a copy of the check that was issued and cashed...we paid $20 for the service and were told they would call us when it arrived...That was two months ago and still no word. My dad is ten years older than my mom was and he is in a hurry to settle his affairs before he dies and will use the money to finish paying off his funeral expenses, headstone, etc. I guess I will take him to a closer office ( Sinton) . We have never had any experience of this sort so we are clueless as to who authorized the withdrawal. we expect to get the $20 back if they wrongly dispersed the money to an unauthorized family member!
